This is great for food and service. The decor is a bit dated, and where I was sat, the walls were grubby. However, the food was good, and the service was amazing.

Popped in for a bite to eat, stood queueing at the carvery for 15 minutes. Put an extra chef on my goodness. Food was dry, probably wasn't but was miffed with the 15 minute queue. Wee bit shambolic.
Editing this review, as I'm currently in the queue and it's now exceeded 15 minutes. On minute 21 now.

Was there today for mothers day drinks were there quickly then went for the food OMG was like being back at school massive queue 1 poor guy serving meat and putting Yorkshire pudding on plate then giving me my plate mashed tatties were like wallpaper paste fozen peas that were hard roast tatties hard and gravy tasteless best thing was yorkie pudding won't be back any time soon

As we were staying at the Inn keepers collection upon arrival we was told we had booked wrong one room for two nights and one for one but after proving on our email that it was two rooms for two nights we were still told that we was wrong staff was unbelievably rude Made us feel very unwelcome. I use the inkeepers Lodge. Edinburgh a lot probably spending a couple of thousand pounds already this year on accommodation and staff I?ve always been polite. Rooms: Huge space
Could do with an extra piece of furniture to fill the space
Room cold upon entry
Light bulb missing from lamp
Spot ceiling lights over bed are too bright
Nearby activities: Excellent location for adventure park
Walkability: Lots of walking for rooms. Good signage
Food and drinks: It?s aToby, and pub. Speak for itself.

Old pensioners deal in the restaurant for the over 60s. Total Scam..did what it said. Was supposed to be for dinner. Server informed us it was only until 4pm which is no where stated in the app except in the small print which they full on know old people won't read.
After deciding to stay anyway ( 5pm so paying full price) waited as the only ones at the carvery. Amazing how thinly the meat was sliced. Even my razor couldn't have gotten it that thin.
The sides were horrible, the stuffing was rubbery, the mash was tasteless and didn't taste like potato. The roast potatoes were burned and so hard you couldn't use your steak knife to cut into them. The mac and cheese was vile. No cheese taste whatsoever. The cheese and cauliflower was boiled mush and the Carrots were very rubbery.
Rip off Britain. I'm really upset for the old people ( like myself) who were piling in who were about to discover similar.
Just stop ripping old people off. Stop.

Booked a table at this Toby Carvery.
Front of house advised no tables were available, not acknowledging our booking.
Other tables were accepted after we left, bad service from this team!

Staff during the evening were nice but extremely loud, guy on the till during the morning was rude, I got my breakfast paid for by my friend before I entered the restaurant and thought he asked me ?you had your breakfast paid for? when I think he said ?you paying for your breakfast? when he tried charging me breakfast and I said it?s been paid for he said ?I?m not a mind reader?.
Room was 2 single beds pushed together to make a double. Mould in the bathroom. Door handle not fitted properly, won?t be returning.
(Guys serving the carvery where nice however)

I can simply say it was the worst quality of food I have ever experienced in the restaurant. Lack of any form of taste. Tiny slices of chewy and overly dry beef, tasteless potatoes and overcooked frozen veg. I had a better diner in the hospital... kids meal was terrible, 3 chicken nuggets and both of my toddlers were still hungry after.
Hygiene left the building a while ago and never came back. Disgusting. Dirty and sticky walls, terrible toilets. Staff was okay, but seemed like they were as disgusted with the place as us. Dont waste your time or money. Complete disgrace.
