A happy accident. I thought I had booked my usual place, which is a purple palace. But I had forgotten so I needed a place. This was available and is way better! Free WiFi (as it should be these days), free breakfast and a late checkout for members. Bye bye purple palace! Hello Holiday Inn express!

I arrived very late on weds night and the staff managed to accommodate me and my pal and got a last minute booking here. The hotel was nice, staff very helpful and breakfast lovely. I will stay again when I'm passing next.

Where this hotel has lost points with me is they gave me a room with a single bed and that?s not what I was expecting and when I raised it with them they offered no compromise.
The hotel does look unattractive, dated and unkempt.
The room itself was actually a fairly decent standard for a Holiday Inn Express, was clean and presentable. No air conditioning and no fridge and a box of tissues would have been nice.
The breakfast was also pretty good? but I was there early.
I loved the squirrels playing in the grass and trees right outside my window!

1 little Hiccup with my room but the two nice ladies put it right straight away. Great location just if the M6 and perfect stop over for my wife and I and dog friendly too. Great for food too with excellent choices

Such a lovely stay an amazingly warm welcome from Harry and Kiera who looked after us so well during our stay. Thank you to you both you are stars! The bar is lovely for a drink and a great breakfast as well. Bedrooms were spotless good size and lovely only down side was very warm and window opening restricted so felt a little stuffy.

Loved my stay here. Had a decent breakfast spread. The only thing lacking is that there is no market nearby and it's away from the city center.

Just had long weekend there for a funeral all staff were very cheerful helpful and kind would certainly stay again. Hope staff receive the praise they deserve.Rooms: Very clean warm and comfortable
