I stepped into this cosy shop back in September. It?s full of character, heart, and smells of the beautiful flowers fill your nose.I looked at all the wonderful bouquets not sure which one to pick? I mentioned to (who I assume is) the owner that my mum used to be a florist herself and that it was her 60th, so it was really important to me that I give her something special.I then asked, ?if you could make a bouquet, that you would love to receive as a florist yourself, I think that could be a good idea? a flicker of inspiration in the florists eyes told me she already had an idea spark in her head of what to create and that was all I needed to know she was the one for the task.(She asked me what my budget was which I also appreciated as there was a range to work with, mentioning this here as it could be helpful for others)The bouquet we received was beautiful, bright and illuminated with colour. Flashes of pink and orange flowers swept over green stems and (now I?m not any expert so I may be wrong) a beautiful blue hydrangea framed the side with accent little accent flowers tying the rest together.(I was particularly impressed as I had mentioned that my mum dislikes when shops dye flowers, so they couldn?t be a part of the bouquet. All the flowers were natural yet so incredibly bright and colourful anyway!)Well, what can I say, my mum was absolutely thrilled. She couldn?t stop mentioning the bouquet and how unique and special it was! Even a week later she remarked on how well they were still doing and the quality of them!Floristry is an art and this woman is an artist.I wish I had taken a photo but sometimes, it?s better to just allow a beautiful moment to be just that and to let it live on in your memory, and we won?t forget this fantastic bouquet any time soon.Thank you so much again, I would and will absolutely recommend you go here.??????????

Ordered flowers for my mum's funeral from the lovely girls at McConnell's. Very friendly and helpful. The flowers spelling MUM were stunning and a special request of a floral paw print was beyond my expectation. So grateful and would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you all so much again

NON-EXISTENT after sales service. Flowers and chocolates ordered from Canada for a delivery in Kilbirnie at Christmas 2021. Flowers arrived but chocolates did not. Despite numerous e-mails and phone calls (phone is never answered) in Jan/early Feb there has been ZERO response. Once they have your credit card you have no control. I would never use McConnell's again.

Ordered and paid for flowers and they cancelled my order at 2pm on Christmas Eve by generic email and didn?t even have the decency to answer there phone absolute shambles of a company and will never deal with them again.

This is second time I'm not able to buy some flowers from the shop. First time I came on Saturday and was told sorry we have no flowers for weekend. This time I ordered online via interflora to collect today and got phone call from shop that they can't get through interflora and told me that they have no flowers and the order I can collect it earlier on Tuesday. They have on Google map opening hours on Saturday 9am to 1pm. I wouldn't recommend this shop at all as it was just waste of time and for me it's not a shop for weekend just a building as they not sell you some flowers today.

I ordered flowers for the first anniversary of the death of a close family member. I ordered online via Interflora on the Wednesday evening arranging for them to be delivered the following Saturday between8am-6pm. I received a call this morning to say they were unable to deliver the flowers as they didn't have the ones I requested in stock. I asked why I wasn't contacted prior to Saturday to say this and i could have chosen alternatives but I wasn't given a satisfactory answer . All i was offered was that they would deliver this week and when I asked if there would be a discount I was offered a £10 evoucher for a future purchase! I cancelled the order and will not use McConnells again as they obviously don't understand the significance of delivering flowers on the appropriate day. I only gave them one star as it doesn't seem to allow me to post with no stars.

I have used this florist for several years and have been very pleased with their customer service. I order from the U.S., and they are always very helpful and accommodating. The recipients of the floral arrangements always say that they are absolutely beautiful! It is a pleasure to do business with McConnell's.

Ordered button hole and ladies flower for a wedding. Standard was abysmal. Fern on button hole needed replaced when collected at 10am. Ladies flower was dead by 12pm. Compared to other guests flowers these were a disgrace. Photos shown to owner and very very poor after sales and customer service. Use another florist; Kilbirnie and Lochwinnoch have way better standards. I have heard several bad reports from others since this incident.
