Really impressed with the vegan and vegetarian range! Just ordered a few takeaway things to try and they were all delicious. Makes a welcome change to find an Indian restaurant with such an extensive (and tasty) range. Hadn?t ordered here for years but this is back to being my number 1!

For goodness sake Ashoka the portion size is ridiculous. Absolutely tiny. I?ve eaten and I?m still hungry. Vegetable pakora is tiny.

Having eaten at many Ashika restaurants for many years I ordered a takeaway and was extremely disappointed. Portion sizes were small, vegetable pakora was over cooked and too crispy to eat. Main dish had very little chicken in it. Poor quality and quantity overall and not what I expect from the Ashoka.

I hate to give a negative review as your staff are wonderful. Main advice if going to do takeaway here ..DON'T .Read the reviews for takeaway .I realise now that my experience of this place is very very typical. Save your money, go elsewhere and youll have a better evening. I ordered take away.I had mixed pakora...which was clearly burnt .I couldn't identify what it was suppose to be .It was hard and cold.The meat dish had a horrific sour milky smell to it.The rice was edible and was the only food I ate from the meal.I noticed I was sent a thing about 30 percent off deals .I wouldn't return even if it was free.I think in this day in age when money is tight for everyone the owner of this place thinks it's ok to give such disgusting food ...it shows a lack of respect .

Very good for a relaxed evening curry. Great food. Colourful decor and subdued lighting much better than the bright lights and cafes style of other places. Great staff.
South Indian garlic chilli with lamb definitely a favourite.

Had an excellent meal at the Ashoka Bearsden. Food was well presented and very tasty. The staff were polite and proficient. Overall, an enjoyable meal

I really love Ashoka, I usually go to the one in Ashton Lane, but this one was almost as good. I think if I were to nitpick, I would say that the interior isn?t quite as nice as in Ashton Lane. Also, me and the person I was with ordered the same thing, but I got a far bigger portion, which was good for me, but not so much for him!

Food is usually good, however, something tasted off about last nights food and in resulted in, myself and my dad are suffering due to it.
Very disappointed as we usually have amazing food here, standards have been slowly dropping over time.
Don?t know if it?s recipe or chef changes.

Take away for 1 person £23.35
1 dried up chewy stringy chicken pakora with what looked like small scraps of chicken. Tiny portion. Never ever seen such a small portion.
1/2 tub of mediocre (at best) chicken tikka, pilau rice and 2 soggy popadoms. Never again.

Food was good overall. Sharing platter to start was expensive and quality wasn't great but the main course were superb and worth every penny.
Service was ok. Servers were very good but it took approximately 2 hours to get our main courses out to us.
Good overall but the wait was a killer.
