Often buy refirgerated fresh food, chicken, mince, pork. The amount of times its off 4 or 5 days before the end date. Ridiculous, meat goes rancid and it's happened often this past year, Aldi has my business now, it's next door and the quality is superior for fresh food
Update - now been asked to provide a ridiculous amount of information including pictures of the product ( a rotten chicken, I'm obviously not going to keep hold of) clearly designed to deter any returns requests. Typical big company, say one thing in public, do another in private.
I'll do my talking with my feet now!

Introduced self service tills and won't put a till on after 7.00 pm .Self service = no service it doesn't make prices cheaper it's just sly head office bean counters looking to cut staff to pocket more for themselves.Well I don't work for Lidl and I won't be putting my shopping through their tills while being scrutinised by hostile looking security guard that looks as though he's on an Interpol watch list along with a lazy Polish lad who someone needs to take in hand and tell him to wash properly.No thank you and goodbye Lidl

Ok, but no self-checkouts which is a big negative because I don?t want to queue forever!
Edit: changed my rating because self-checkouts are finally here and already made the checkout so much faster! Now it?s only the bakery section which needs a bit more tending to (better stocked and regularly tidied up) and shopping here will be so much better!

Lidl is decent, but you get what you paid.
Many things are a bit better quality at the others main supermarkets.
But overall, lidl okay.

Unimpressed with the dirty tactics over past 5 years - Common moving the prices or the meat ect to show a different price then notice when you get home the price has changed. Always keep the receipt as there is always an item wrongly priced or different price when scan in than it shows on the shop floor every time I shop here. There classic for it!
On multiple occasions I have got home and realised the thing is out of date there classic for that too. And the food is always short dated just not exceptable. Very rarely use them now but I did last week and same again.
