Last night we had dinner at the golf club. It was our third time there in past few months. Their restaurant area is spacious, clean and has a comfortable environment. It?s presently the festive menu which I am sure will please everyone. Plenty of choice there and the food is first class. I had the cannon of beef followed by sticky toffee pudding. No complaints and the staff were met by my empty plates. I would suggest it?s a must to book in advance as although it was very quiet on our arrival at 1730 it soon filled up. Price wise it?s pretty average for a good eating place. We will be back.

I was there for my work Christmas Party. One of our party is a Coeliac and it was put in BiG writing on the order form and she was not served anything she could eat. She did get her money back and a free drink but still not acceptable - and she was left hungry. Another persons trio of desserts included free trio of hairs on the plate. When mentioned to the waitress, whose face was like fizz she inspected the plate, gave no apology and was told not to replace the dessert as my colleague no longer had an appetite for a dessert. It also took over 7 minutes for a mocktail to be made - Lesley (barmaid) said it was because it had to be made fresh, however, still no apology for that either and the mocktail was definitely not worth the wait or the £5.

Food amazing but spoiled by poor service , waitress passing me food over fellow diners heads , hot plate handed to me if you are serving and using towel to handle plate it?s not going to be cool for me , burnt fingers and rushed service , partner was uncomfortable with server putting her hand on his hips to move him out the way , food great ,,, but you?re waitress let the side down,
