Could do a lot better. Been waiting 1 hour+ . Still not asked if we want any other drinks finished the first ones we got. Had to chase the food due to the wait. Had to ask for a steak knife. The table is full of plates a little too long. £26 service charge, what a joke for plates still sitting in front of me. Just No. Got up and went dirty plates still on the table. Food was the only good thing and views. 2 hours been sitting in far too long.

Had been a couple of years ago and it was perfectly fine, but the recent renovation and menu change is a real improvement. Food was great, chilled atmosphere which still felt upmarket and no faults with service.

An awful experience here for coffees and pastries. The service was terribly slow with staff always standing around looking like they didn?t know what to do next. We waited at least 20 minutes after ordered for our drinks to arrive and had to remind the staff for our final 2 coffees because they never arrived, everyone else had long finished their drinks. When the staff came over they did not apologise and rather made excuses.When our pastries finally arrived, the wrong ones were brought to us, it was as if the waiting staff had no idea what they were serving. Overall it was a disappointing experience with not being able to deliver a coffee and pastries order at the same time. The least that I would expect in this scenario would be an apology but I even had to ask for the service charge to be removed from the bill.

Disapointing experience overall, but the biggest shock was the Starters.Serving soggy pieces of torched Hovis loaf as "Bruchetta" in a restaurant in the grounds of a 5 star hotel is NOT acceptable.The restaurant setting is nice and the views are lovely but it was being run by staff who would have been out of their depth working in TGI Fridays.Table booked for 19:45, seated at 20:10.Long wait for drinks - several ingredients for cocktails unavailable.Long wait for starters. 2 options unavailable.Long wait for mains. 2 options unavailable.Didn't bother with deserts. 3 out of 5 options unavailable...Also, the menu online is not what you will be presented with in the restaurant. Your options are far more limited. If they are even available.

I was feeling slightly apprehensive about attending my booking once I read some of the reviews, however I?m glad I didn?t give it a miss! Firstly the service was impeccable, my partner and I had our first drinks order taken soon after we were seated and did not wait long at all for them to arrive. We shared the scallops to start which are 10/10, although the portion size was small considering the price, the taste was worth it. My partner also had the chicken wings starter which he enjoyed however I would give the parmesan fries a miss - fries slightly over cooked and they were presented in a way that meant most of the parmesan was at the bottom. Mains also arrived fairly quickly, large portion sizes for the sea bass and calzone which I?d highly recommend. We went at night time and the atmosphere was still good but I can imagine the stunning views of the loch that would be available during the day so I would take this into consideration before visiting. Overall cannot fault our experience one bit, slightly pricey as some of the other reviews state, we paid roughly £107 (minus the service charge) for 2 starters, 2 sides and 2 mains with 2 cocktails however considering the location this wasn?t too steep in my opinion.

I was a little disappointed last year when I visit the resort every year.Had an upset stomach after the soup in general.This time out of 5 of us attending I can commend the service which is great. The staff are awesome and so accommodating. The food however has a little to be desired.For a boathouse they have removed a lot of their seafood dishes in the last couple of years which seems strange right?The pizzas are amazing and highly recommend if your in the mood for Pizza but most other things tried on the menu were a bit lacking. Dry cold chicken in the ceaser salad, which was also slightly chewy just to mention for a start.Broccoli starter is a bit bland in general and the scallops were ok but nothing special.I honestly just miss the first time I visited here about 3 years ago when we had steak and lobster etc. All cooked perfectly and amazing. Just went downhill now and not really value for money in my opinion.There's a McDonalds down the road that I might rather head to now.
