La chambre est très sympa, le lit est assez grand et la salle de bain spacieuse et jolie. Cependant nous avons réservé le vendredi et samedi qui est un soir de soirée techno dans le bar de l'hôtel, on est vraiment pas difficile mais là vous avez l'impression d'être dans la cabine avec le DJ, les murs tremblent donc c'est assez particulier voir chaotique pour un hôtel !!

great hotel with ome ty to do! food, drinks and live entertainment every thursday to sunday. rooms are amazing and great value for money big shout to danielle and kelly!

DO NOT STAY HERE, stay accross the road instead! Misleading photos of the room online. They only posted the photos of the room they had done up so we were lead to believe this was the one we were booking. The manager even told us they were having trouble uploading all the different room photos as their reason when we complained. We had 2 nights booked and cancelled not long after being shown our disgusting, dusting, old, outdated room but we were refused any refund even though it stated on the website "partially refundable- you will be charged the first night if you cancel after reservation". They took a good few days to respond to us after we kept inquirying about our refund and in this time they uploaded the other photos of the rooms to their site, told us we were lying and that the photos had always been posted, then stopped contact with us. Fun fact: the photos the hotel uploaded afterwards that they said we were lying about, have the exact same bed wrinkles, pillow placement, and item placement of the photos I took of the room when we complained. Its very clear that they uploaded these afterwards to get out of the refund, they might even be my exact photos we sent them.... ???? Absolutely deceitful hotel, disgusting customer service, and poor communication.Also took a photo of the hallway area: Old dusty spider webs in the man hole bit, a turned on light fixture hanging loose midway down the wall from its wire under what I assume was an open circuit board. Terrible health and safety.

Good Value for money. Stayed over 3 nights out of season was quiet and peaceful. Continental breakfast to keep you on move but plenty of options arround in area. There is pub attached to hotel.Overall quiet good.

Room 0 stars - the room looked like it was featured in train spotting. fag burns on the window, scuff marks and stains on just about every surface, it felt grimey, bed felt like it had been there since the the 70's. I'm well traveled, and stayed in some questionable places, but this was too much for the price.The manager who maintains the advertisement campaign needs an award, at the time of our booking their advertising was very very misleading, to which the hotel denies.There were no photos on the website of the actual room we paid for when we booked and when we were in the hotel on the day because we checked (I can see you've now amended the advertisement). On the website, you only had listed the photos of the room you have recently renovated, and no other pictures of any other rooms at the time of booking. If we had seen photos of the room we paid for, then we certainly wouldn't have made the booking.The advertisement and the way the property was displayed was extremely misleading and not representative of where guests would be staying. The only difference was the wording in the advertisement,- double room with shared bathroom- double room with private bathroomThere was a slight cost increase for the private bathroom, but nowhere did it state that the room is significantly different from the photos shown.When we spoke with the duty manager said she was having issues with booking.com and they had been altering your advertisement without you knowing. She did offer for us to view the renovated room with an additional cost, but in honesty, given the run-down state of the property and the misleading information already supplied, we did not feel comfortable staying at the hotel. Therefore, we enquired with another hotel who provided a room for us, at the same cost as your rooms and in much better condition and it was clean and comfortable - and the photos on their site were representative of the what we paid forService 3 stars- the lady who we initially spoke with on the day we arrived was polite, and did want to help, but as I said, at this stage we did not feel comfortable at all with hotel and wanted out!Location 4 starts - the Location is very convenient to the train station and nearby restaurants (you can walk the the whole town in a hour)We stayed opposite the road, great food, excellent staff, no noise, nice and modern. Spend that little extra and avoid this place!!

Booked at short notice, staff showed us the 2 rooms and then gave us different rooms once paid!! Bathroom had been replaced and looked nice, shower door was short and so water everywhere. Nowhere to put your stuff in the bathroom and one towel rail. No bedside table or dressing table for your things, dimly lit window black with mold/damp from conditions and no mirror. Rug on the floor was black with dirt and mud. Staff did help by getting us a mirror and a bedside table from an empty room, so thank you for that. Breakfast was poor, for £70 per night I would expect better but following a long weekend in Scotland I felt like everything was expensive for what it was.

Started out after a long day working away. Was greated at the reception, couldn't find our booking. After the keys were flung on the top. Woman explained the rooms weren't anything special. This should have been the first alert. Booked as breakfast was included. Stated it wasn't, but they'd give me toast and some cereal (don't worry we didn't have it) Got to room. Honestly it's worse than a hostel. Door had a hole in it, walls full of holes, window broken, WiFi router hanging off wall, electrical distribution board uncovered, bed broken and split on material, mattress knackered, no toilet seat, paper thin artex walls. £15 room at best, if car wasn't full, I would rather slept in it. This is the first time ever I've slept in my clothes on top of the bed. Feel robbed.

Stayed for one night. The staff were very friendly and offered free continental breakfast with the stay. Unfortunately the mattresses on the bed were very uncomfortable and you could feel every spring in them. We did not get any sleep at all. The shared toilet had no seat on it which was not good. I will say the rooms were clean and tidy but dated. I would ask the management to look at the small repairs and possible new mattresses. I do know it was not expensive but you should be able to have a decent night's sleep.
