The menu seemed very impressive, when my Husband wanted the sea bass...was told he couldn't have it as it was a starter!
I always thought the customer had a choice, obviously not this place!!

The food is excellent. The service is unfortunately a bit slow and the interior is a little bit ragged looking but apart from that would recommend.

A very unassuming place, but upon ?the kitchen? at Glencoe Woodland being shut we found ourselves here, and wow! The staff were lovely, and the food was worth every penny! We had the beef and the pork belly, both were melt in your mouth tender, and very reasonable priced for the incredible quality that was served! If we ever find ourselves in this corner of the world again we would definitely come back to Laroch!

Had lunch and must admit to being slightly disappointed. It wasn't to the high standard we were told to expect. We were told it was fine dining in a pub atmosphere...the pub is very much in need of a make over with some of the upholstery needing attention. The food was OK but we certainly wouldn't go back.

Food is delicious - we had the beef followed by sticky toffee pudding. The service is quick despite it being busy. Recommend booking a table as it was full on a Wednesday evening.

the turbot was very good, firm, sweet fish, and a really good scallop, all on langustine bisque.
so was the seabass, with asparagus risotto.
burger fries, quite ok.

The Laroch looks a bit tired and scruffy but don't be put off, it's busy and buzzing and the food is exceptional. We had delicious hot smoked salmon followed by a perfectly cooked lamb with soft dauphinoise potatoes and al dente vegetables. Highly recommended (though it could do with a little refurb;)

Would absolutely recommend the Laroch Restaurant. Fabulous food, great staff. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food, Will definitely be back.

Place needs a serious overhaul. New toilets, carpets, outside benches sanded and painted, weeds cleared. Opening hours for tourist season is weird...

To be fair, the food was decent and the staff taking orders were polite. But waiting nearly 40 minutes for a simple burger?especially when the restaurant wasn?t even half full and it wasn?t peak time?is just unacceptable. The delay completely disrupted my plans and honestly ruined the rest of my day. At the very least, they should?ve set clear expectations when I ordered. A simple heads-up would?ve gone a long way. Disappointing overall.
