“We ate here while staying in Edinburgh for an overnight and was absolutely blown away by the food and service. We got nachos to start which were some of the best iv had anywhere, massive portion to share, but the star of the show was the feather blade of beef. Slow cooked to perfection with a nicely browned outer. It only required a fork to pull the meat apart, the jus was packed with flavour and reduced down to a perfect viscosity, unlike most places they weren't shy with it either, covering the whole plate. The mash was incredibly smooth and the veg was immaculate as well. The Kids were happy with their meals as well. Service is relaxed and friendly with attentive staff and a warm atmosphere. I will be making the drive through from Glasgow to eat here as often as possible from now on. Well done and thank you to everyone involved at the Balerno Inn”
