I really like going to this store and pushing my 19 year old disabled boy around in his wheelchair as the staff are so kind to him.BUT I THINK THE LOUD MUSIC IS DRIVING ME AWAY. WHY DOES THE STORE HAVE TO PLAY LOUD POP MUSIC .I KNOW IT IS REQUIRED BY THE MANAGEMENT OF THE STORES BUT COULDN'T THEY HAVE MERCY ON THOSE WHO WORK THERE AND THOSE WHO HAVE TO SHOP THERE.

Consistent lack of staff. At one point there was 30 people waiting to get served but only one staff member in the whole store.
I understand the economy is rough atm. And retaining staff is difficult but the least they could do is install some self serve points to alleviate the issue.

This is a great shop. So friendly staff. Always working. Always helpful. Kind to my disabled son and to 85 year old me. It's a model of how a shop should be run. Don't lose this staff.

I really like this poundland , I like that it's slightly tucked away from the main street, it has lots of different products available all nicely priced and arranged . I like going in here to top up cleaning supplies and for everyday home essentials .visited here when I first moved to the are 2 months ago and got many of the things I needed here for a reasonable price, the lady in the store was super friendly too.

A good-sized & well stocked store with lots of everyday items at good prices. The reason for the lower rating is for the service or lack of more so. The queue was right down an aisle all the way to the back of the store & there was only one person on the tills. This person rang the bell for assistance after about 10 minutes, (why did she wait to do this when she could see how long the queue was?), but nobody came to help her out straightaway. I had a full basket, but had it not been that I needed some of the items, I'd have left the basket & walked out. In fact, some people did just that. When I finally got to the till ( it took about 15 minutes), the assistant, who was really nice & very pleasant, but a bit harassed though, advised me that the store had just had a delivery & that was why there wasn't any other staff around. I, personally, think that your customers should come first. I wouldn't put myself through something like the frustration I felt in this store again, so I think I'd be shopping elsewhere.

It canny be called poundland as I do t think they have many items at a pound anymore.

There are not as many pound items but still better than most supermarkets prices, worth a visit.
