Love it in here! One of my favourite supermarkets, always has a good variety of food and something for everyone in here. I love the cafe too, the new Colin the Caterpillar frappe is definitely one to try! Lots of gluten free products and can be very affordable. I never leave this store empty handed!

Wonderfully helpful staff, Lorraine is particularly pleasant and always takes time to say hello.

Waited over 20 minutes to use the changing rooms. Other changing room facilities have been shut for over a month now leaving 2 stalls for both male and female customers. This is completely unacceptable for a store that offers bra fittings.

A very clean store situated at the bottom of Ayr High Street. It has two levels, which are accessible with either an escalator or lift. Ground level has ladies' clothes & the food mart & upstairs stocks, men & kids' clothing, ladies lingerie & home wares. It is most definitely now not the Marks & Spencer's of old. The lingerie area does not have a good selection nowadays, as before buying these items from here, it would've felt like a treat & there used to always be such a great selection to suit all ages. The clothes, etc, are typically priced for this brand. Most of the staff are very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable, with a few exceptions. As much as I buy a lot from here, it's just not the same feeling & atmosphere of M & S of old, which isn't good.

Popped in to the cafe while shopping, and felt cheated I paid £21 for 2 coffees and 2 toasties no problem with the price but was served on paper plates and paper cups. M&S has gone down hill and I could have gone to a greasy spoon paid less and been served on crockery. Won't be using M&S again that's for sure

being a regular food shopper in your ayr store i was very dissapointed with your top crust puff pie .pastry was stuck to foil and meat not tender enough to eat.

Today the 5th of September my wife and I were attended by a very nice and helpful blonde lady at the cash desk in the food department. I think her name is Whain. I do not like the idea of self service. It is very necessary to have the people working and attending to customers personally.

I moved to Ayr just before Covid struck and lockdown came in, so I ended up visiting the shop once a week or once a fortnight (it's only 5 minutes walk from my flat). Staff were (and are) fabulous. They worked so hard to keep the place clean, keep it stocked, maintained their sense of humour, treated everyone with decency and dignity (despite the behaviour of a couple of folk I would quite happily **********). For a two month period on my weekly visit there was the same guy on the till (Steve I think his name is). He was virtually the only person I spoke to in two months - a smile, a warm 'Hello', an exchange of words ... and then away for another week. Human contact is vital - I visit other shops where they have automatic or self-service tills, I refuse to use them ... people who provide goods and services in supermarkets deserve their jobs and our respect, that's one thing Covid should have taught us. Excellent shop, lovely staff.

Got into trouble today from the little Madam at the door for not wearing a Lanyard to show why i am exempt from wearing a mask, after showing her my exemption card she still rattled on about it aided by her co-worker. Needless to say i walked out.

Big shout out of praise to Marks & Spencers Ayr Christmas Food hall team! After a hiccup with our Christmas order they went all out to make it right with good humour and big hearts. Fabulous!
