Car serviced and MOT - delighted. Excellent customer service and work done to a very high standard as usual. I used to always use Halfords but when I got this car the Mot and service was part of the deal, but Arnold Clark let me down badly with poor workmanship and hence I am back using Halfords . Yes! It costs me money but it is well worth it for peace of mind

Always use this garage and they are always friendly and helpful.
Recently in as my engine light was on but car driving fine, turned out another garage hadn't put my oil cap back on. The team checked my car quickly and called not long after I dropped off to say that was all it was, no charge even though they took the time to check.
Other times they have always explained things well and never over charge or over sell. A brilliant garage and team.

Focus on selling in my case brake pads, before they took the wheels of and looked if I had not said no l would be out £600+.
Wing mirror broken booked in, but they decided not to bother. Loyal customer lost.

Booked van in for mot, got phone call 10 mins later to be told the mechanic knows it will fail for brakes, dent on sill and one of side doors won't open.So with mot up next day I took it to a independent mot tester garage, luckily the guy was really understanding and helpful, shook his head when I told him what had happened. He looked at the sill right away and laughed, dent was on the surface not on the inside as I was told and not affecting structure. Laughing again He says side door doesn't need to open as the other side door does and both back doors, by the way all it needed was wd 40 to open....So he done mot for me that day..it failed for a tyre below tread limit..ball joint required...that was it!!!
No fail for brakes, sill damage, door not opening. So Don't know what all that was about with Halfords, It seems like they just didn't want to do it and palmed me off....But it left me in a bit of a panic trying to find another place with mot being next day. So I certainly won't ever take car or van there again.
