Excellent, credit is given where credit is due. I got an online February deal on all 4 corners saving £115 from the list price on premium Dunlop tyres for my Z4 Coupé ??The geezers working there were also excellent, they advised on rear springs needing replaced without any hard sell (would've been wasting their time anyway) & they were happy to engage in friendly banter + I received notification within the hour that the job was done ?The best praise that I can contribute is, that I'll happily return in the future but only when I can get a discount deal ?

Absolutely horrendous customer service, wife's car was booked last week for an MOT to be told it had to be rebooked due to faulty equipment, on new date of test drove down to be told it was cancelled AGAIN! When I spoke to the someone after the second chance appointment, I got told last week it was Diesels they couldn't test and they were only able to do Petrol. Well guess what my wife's car is a Petrol.Being cancelled twice is a joke but to be lied to us absolutely disgusting service, if I could give zero stars I would!

Something dodgy going on with their bookings judging by my experience and some reviews on here. I booked on the Monday to them be told last minute that their MOT testing machine was broken so they rebooked for Thursday morning.I called first thing thing Thursday to confirm the appointment, which they did. When I turned up at the garage an hour later, I was told my car was actually booked in for the afternoon?? When I said that I'd called earlier to confirm, so why didn't they tell me this then, he replied 'well I'm the only one who's been here all morning and I didn't take any call'. No apologies, nothing.And then of course when I came back in the afternoon, they said the testing machine was broken! And apparently they had tried to call me (they didn't). Now waiting on my refund....

My car's windscreen washers had stopped working so brought my car here. Despite providing my phone number I received no updates without chasing. I phoned right before closing to be told they didn't have any success and had to keep my car overnight. The next day was much of the same, no updates and I had to phone right before closing again as I was still waiting for a quote, only to be told they had went ahead with attempting work and installing a new pump (without providing a quote) but it hadn't fixed the issue and they were now "out of options". Concerning as this garage does MOT's and repairs, yet this issue would fail an MOT. I took the car to another garage who quickly identified that the pump was the issue, replaced it, and fixed the problem. I wasn't charged anything here and the guys were polite but due to the lack of communication and having my car for a significant time yet failing to fix an issue which another garage quickly identified and resolved, I unfortunately can't recommend taking your car here.

Absolute joke, booked mot which was cancelled due to mot machine not working ? a spring had broke on my car so would have cancelled until I got it fixed. Was quoted £463 to fix ??. I got the spring fixed elsewhere for £170, then back n forth finally booked for today for mot which has now expired, husband phoned branch to be told it will be done this afternoon, went to collect to be told it was cancelled again due to mot parts broke this am ?? definitely lots of lies being told. So inconvenience of no car for several days back n forth still no mot !! Completely unreliable don't seem to know what customer service is. Only took car here due to using this garage for 30yrs, McConechys has been ruined since halfords took over !! Such a shame as the old McConechys would bend over backwards to help, today however there seems to be no work ethic. Will never use again

I wouldn't recommend taking your car here. There are other better places and cheaper as well. You'd think they are good because of the brand but NO. I dropped off my 5 series bmw for a change of new tyres and alignment and after 4 hours I decided to phone for an update and I was told its ready to collect and that they found a cross threaded bolt. I left the car with all 5 bolts screwed perfectly fine. The manager says he found the bolt barely screwed on (later on changing his story) Moving on, I arrive there they hand me the key and send me on my way. I go In the car start to leave and the car would barely move. It was making noises from the front and there was loads of shudder in the steering and the tyre was almost bouncing off the ground ( i have video ). Turns out they mounted my tyres wrong and the alloy was hitting on the shock absorber damaging the alloy all around as you can see in the picture. At this stage I'm a bit annoyed already as they told me the car was ready to go so I didn't understand how has this pass QA check and the mechanic (Alexander Scott) drove this from the bay to parking spot without noticing. Imagine driving away with the car like that, I have two small kids. Then I spoke with the manager, they wouldn't admit to anything. Just another day at work. Finally I had to ask them to do the alignment again because they had to change the tyres from the front to the back which changes everything. For that I have to take time off work and I also just had surgery and metal work due to breaking my femur so moving around is still difficult for me but I went and let them do the alignment properly for which I paid £75. I am still left with a cross threaded bolt which they wouldn't admit to. Car is due MOT and it would definitely Fail with 4x bolts (thanks Halfords!) I got quoted nearly £300 from another garage to fix the issue they created (the cross threaded bolt not damage to the alloy). They also agreed that the bolt looks freshly damaged as you can see in the picture and this happens when they use the automatic machine to screw the bolts on. They wouldn't damage on the way out. You wouldn't imagine dropping your car perfectly fine and just needing new tyres coming out with issues. This is they're job every day there should be no excuse of making mistakes especially when dealing with tyres, brakes, suspension that can be life threatening. The shop manager offered me a discount e.g. if I get my MOT there that costs £45 discount to £30. Beyond joke.

Not the one for sending bad reviews, but when you have been cancelled TWICE for my cars mot is a joke! Stupid excuses to why my car has been cancelled, car was booked in for the 12th of September to be phoned a couple of hours prior Mot to be rescheduled to the 18th (today) to now to be told I have to wait a week to have my car Mot (25th) of September which I have phoned to cancel and ask back for my money back as I have paid online which I will never be doing again!

Booked for mot at 3pm arrived at 2:45pm to be told sorry the ramps broken can?t do your mot! A phonecall to tell me this wouldn?t go a miss?? drive away and curiosity got the better of me so drove back round 10mins later for said car to be off mot ramp and another one being put up!! IF YOU DONT WANT THE BUISNESS DONT BOOK PEOPLE IN CAUSING INCONVENIENCE IN PEOPLES LIFES BAD BAD BUISNESS WONT BE BACK

Had to use Halfords after a tyre blow out in Prestwick . I took it to them first thing Saturday(no spare) to get a replacement, and they tracked the car and replaced another for me which was badly tracked and had me back on the road in just over an hour

Wow ! Can't thank Mcconechys Peebles Street Ayr enough.Had a vibration through my steering at speed and had taken it toa garage who said that it needed an expensive repair running into hundreds of pounds.So took it Mcconechys in Ayr who informed me that it did notneed the expensive repair but only a wheel balance which theydid promptly and the problem was fixed saving me around£300+ !The guys were great, very friendly and informative.Very impressed and would absolutely recommend them !
