My Dad booked me here for a much needed break for a week & not only would I return, I would also highly recommend.I was running late so got in touch with the owner & he was happy to amend the time.Received a very warm & friendly welcome at check-in, shown around & any questions were happily answered. This was my first stay in a B&B so I really appreciatedB&B was lovely!! Everything was very clean & tidy - inside & out. Beautifully decorated, lovely high ceilings & very cosy feeling. Felt more homely than staying at a hotel. My room was great. Comfy double bed, 2 chairs & table, wardrobe with drawers which had a hairdryer & hot water bottle, TV, kettle with cups & all the stuff for making hot drinks & also an en-suite which had towels, hand wash, shower gel & shower puff!! All the little extras would be great for people who hadn't brought their own.Although there was plenty of breakfast options,. I had a cooked breakfast with a glass of orange juice every morning & I really enjoyed it. Nothing was too much for Jonathan aswell, from making my fry up early one day rather than me missing it to giving me something for an upset stomach (which helped so thank you). Also whether it was just myself or a room full of guests, Jonathan chatted away with everyone & had plenty of knowledge & advice of the surrounding areas for guests. For a central location - it's close to shops, train/ bus station, places to eat & a short walk to the beach - it was very quiet!! I took magazines & my craft things with me but ended up falling asleep & woke up having had a great sleep. On my last day I didn't feel rushed at all. Once I was packed I found Jonathan & he even took the time to catch up on how things had went. Really feel you are treated like a guest rather than a customer & Jonathan goes that extra mile to make your stay as good as it can be.So I would definitely stay again & would recommend it to others who are looking for somewhere to stay in Ayr who are looking for somewhere warm, cosy & peaceful to stay in Ayrshire. Thanks for the relaxing break.

A lovely bed and breakfast very conveniently located in Ayr. The host was very welcoming and the room was very comfortable. There was a good selection for breakfast, which was delicious and really set us up for the day. Would definitely be visiting again. Thanks for your hospitality Jonathan. See you again soon.

I had the pleasure of staying here with my colleague 9th and 10th. The host Jonathan couldn't have been more helpful and made us feel most welcome. He was warm welcoming and made us feel we were welcome visitors in his home. We could chat to Jonathan about anything and he was both friendly and respectful. My room was warm and cosy. It really felt like home from home. Bed was do comfy and pillows were to die for. Had 2 amazing nights sleep.Breakfast was tasty and the right amount setting us up perfectly for the day. Cannot recommend this cozy B&B enough!! Kate

My partner booked this guest house as part of a birthday weekend away. We stayed here a few years ago, it was lovely. However it is now being run by a chap named Jonathan, this man obviously has never ran a guest house before. His attitude and manner towards guests is beyond belief. It all started when we were told when we would arrive, so as to allow him to go shopping!! On arrival, we were greeted by the man's boxer's and washing hanging on the hallway radiator we were then herded to the room without a word. We were then told breakfast would be at 8.20, with no option!! The barrage continued with a rant about the front door being problematic when closing. I listened with intent and bit my tongue as it was a gift away and didn't want to spoil it. We went out for a bite to eat, when we arrived back at the room it was very cold. My partner message the owner about this. Then the barrage began!!! The owner appeared at the door and said it wasn't cold as he had a tee-shirt on!! My partner explained she found it a bit cold and could he put the heating on please. The man then went off on a rant that can only be described as farcical, Basil Fawlty would have been proud!! I then stepped in!! Asked the man to kindly change his tone and attitude as he was talking to an adult and not a child. This only angered the beast!!! We were then accused of not closing the front door of the house, which he had already ranted about. We then decided anough was enough and left. I would no recommend this guest house to anyone with a pinch of morals. The owner treats you like you are an inconvenience to his life!!! All because the room was cold in November!!!

We arrived here for weekend stay. After having been TOLD when we should arrive, to fit in with his busy schedule! There was no greeting and were shown to a room without a word. Then lectured about shutting the front door if we went out. We were then told breakfast will be at 8.20 am, too bad if you didn't want to have it then. We went out for a while and when we came back the room was cold. I ask for the heating to be put on and was told no! It's on a timer, it's too bad if your cold. Absolutely ridiculous in November. He then accused me of leaving his front door open earlier, I am actually still shocked at the way he spoke to me. My partner then stepped in, and after more insulting behaviour we decided to leave. His washing was hanging all over the radiators, really professional!! Overall I am absolutely disgusted at this man's attitude to his guests, treating us like an inconvenience. Certainly would not stay here, or recommend it to anyone else ?

Grange View is well situated for the town. We stayed in the ground floor room, with a very comfortable bed. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast choices. Good value for money. We would stay again. Car parking was somewhat restricted, but not a big issue.

We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Grange View B&B. Our room had everything that we required for our short stay. Jonathan our host provided great hospitality, fabulous Scottish Breakfast and taxi service.

This was a birthday treat for myself, so my daughter helped my husband look for something that was suitable for my mobility issues (waiting on hip and knee op). Couldn't have asked for any better, she phoned the B&B and asked If there was a suitable room on the ground floor. By luck it was the last room available. The B&B is very central for local restaurants, bars, shops etc and even town centre, 15 minute walk. Which for me was ideal as I can't manage to walk and use my mobility scooter. We arrived and were welcomed by a very friendly owner named Jonathan, a really cheary chap. He showed us to our room and left us to settle in, came back with fresh milk for tea and coffee. The bedroom had an ensuite Shower room with toilet. It was really stunning. Brand new bed, with a hot blanket, everything was new and the room was very bright and newly decorated. The sitting room was super too. Had two two seater settees, a big double wardrobe, with a matching sideboard, small side table, TV unit with nice flat screen TV. On the sideboard you had a complimentary tray with a kettle, tea bags (so many different flavours), coffee, hot chocolate, and some lovely looking biscuits, all separately wrapped. The breakfast was included in the price and you chose what you wanted from a menu for a cooked breakfast, you also had a choice of cereal, too many to name, and bread available for toast etc. You had tea, coffee and fresh orange available too. Infact more than we have at home. Lol. Jonathan was lovely and available to help with taxis, advice on where to go for meals, drinks etc. Definitely a lovely place to stay, and local too. Infact arrive as guests and leave as friends. Thank you so much for everything and we will be using you again. Very highly recommended. ?
