We stayed for two nights and it was a great success, the room was very cozy, they treated us kindly and the breakfast was very good. It is about 2.5km or so from the center but there is a bus at the door.

Was at a wedding here. I wasn't in the rooms so I can't comment on them. The surroundings were beautiful, service was excellent too. Food was delicious. My only down thing too many stairs although there is a lift I couldn't find it.

What a beautifully kept historical location. We visited at night but the landscape was stunning with lighting and we were still able to walk the property. Impeccably maintained with very attentive and kind staff. The food was superb, our party had Pork tenderloin, fish, beef and another fish entree. All four meals were well enjoyed and would be recommended.

This hotel was xmas gift and on arrival you immediately see why it?s a popular wedding venue,it is beautiful quaint and a touch historical. Booking in was relaxing and the staff were wonderful, the hotel has five rooms only, so nearly always booked out but you should still give it a shot. The hotel has adequate facilities for your enjoyment, good size restaurant and separate place for the bar, again the staff are wonderful there is a good choice of wines and beer and good selection of whiskey . My wife and i enjoyed our short but lovely stay. The Brig O? Doon is a must see, you will sense the melancholy and enchanted prose of Tam o ?Shanter as he and Meg dash across the Doon.Rooms: The rooms are a great size the bathroom is large and well equipped. The rooms immediately give a sense of the history and the historical importance of the area.Nearby activities: There are guided tours around the area but its well signposted if you prefer to go solo. The surrounding countryside is beautiful to explore and leads to many other sites of interest.Walkability: There are good local walks, lots of historical sites and there are also guided tours around the poet Robert BurnsFood & drinks: The food was good and the options many, the dessert was excellent. The wine selection is good and the bar also has a good variety of beers soft drinks and a delightful list of whiskey.

The venue is nice but the staff are just plain lazy, I was at a wedding lately and after the meal we go down stairs to the beautiful bar they have which is absolutely lovely. But when I ordered my drink (Whitley Neil, Rhubard & Ginger) I was told I would have to wait till I went back upstairs to get that specific drink as the only one they had down stairs was the non alcohol version, so I didn?t have a drink for the best part of an hour as that?s all I drink and it put a dampener on my day, I do not recommend going to weddings there if that?s the attitude

Visited for a wedding so did not stay in a room, the hotel is beautiful and the surroundings are lovely, one downside is the complete lack of any parking other than a 5 min walk away. Not so great if the Scottish weather lives up to it's reputation. Otherwise loved it.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at this beautiful HotelThe building and the gardens are gorgeous and set right next to the river. The food was excellent, as was the service and it was very good value. If we didn't live 200 miles away we'd eat there every week!

What a beautiful hotelIt's stunning from the outside as you drive past plus if you go to the Brig O'Doon bridge (rear of hotel) it's even more beautiful. We stopped for hot drinks ordering an Americano coffee and a pot of tea plus a couple of scones with jam and creamService was excellent and drinks and scones were delicious.Staff were lovely and interested in where we were from and also recommended a couple of local attractions for us to visit. The interior of the hotel is immaculate and would be a stunning setting for weddings.Their food menu looked good and reasonably priced as well.If you're in the area would highly recommend you to stop here
