The service was superb! I mentioned the fact we were on honeymoon in an email and this was the only location that took note. We were greeted with a personal message from Alex F (duty manager) in our room and a very kind man at reception (sadly I forgot to take his name) as well as a chilled bottle of Prosecco and some beautiful tarts. I'm gluten free so couldn't eat but Ciara described the carrot cake tart as the best she has tasted as well as a lovely chocolate fudge brownie and cheesecake tarts. The location is fantastic, perfect for nature lovers or hill running enthusiasts- I relished doing a hill run every morning out the back up through Craigellachie nature reserve with our two dogs- just fabulous!Thank you folks for your great care.Walkability: Craigellachie Nature Reserve directly out the back is just fabulous for a hill run or a goodvwalk.Noteworthy details: Fabulous welcome for Honeymooners!! Great service.

It was ok, expensive drinks I might add. Average place, wouldn?t want you spend more than a couple of nights here, to be fair I didn?t use all of the facilities (swimming pool) it was just a short 1 night stay so I don?t have much to go on! Relatively cheap and only short walk into

Lovely hotel would recommend, drinks a bit pricy but I'm guessing most hotels are the same! The leisure center/activity center the wave pool is like the North Sea! Only down side is the showers at swimming the button is too high and turns off when u remove your hand they need to change this! Breakfast top notch so much choice!!! Try booking .com or itison for deals!Walkability: 10 min walk to the center it's a small town.has a tesco close by too! Lovely bakery!Noteworthy details: Breakfast amazing

The lodges are in a fantastic location and are a great size, they are starting to feel/look a bit dated with work furniture/carpets/flooring.We regularly stay 2 or 3 times a year at the lodges which are fairly expensive. Our last visit (4th jan to 8th Jan) was ok, but we had several issues with the lodge itself. We called reception as soon as we arrived but unfortunately the issues were never addressed fully. We were told a Manager would contact us on 3 separate occasions but this never happened. We had also paid £20 for 2 bags of wood logs for the wood burning stove and had to chase these up as they were not delivered. When they did do a delivery only 1 bag showed up, so the hotel owe me £10 which I would like back!Breakfast was also a bit of a shambles where food wasn't replaced/long queues. They were obviously understaffed, but that's not really not an excuse. We even heard a guest being reprimanded by one of the chefs when they asked for sausages! In the last 12 months I have spent £2500 staying at the resort, but unfortunately after the last visit, I don't think I'll be back.

What a beautiful spacious room with incredible views of the Aviemore surroundings, it was very picturesque. The reception staff and management were really helpful, they were always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The afternoon tea was delicious, I recommend it to anyone reading this review. The carrot cake was by far my favourite sweet treat. However we had a few issues during our stay, we had numerous staff members walk into our room on numerous occasions even with a 'do not disturb' sign on the door. This was quite alarming as we were getting changed after having a shower. The room delivered breakfast was missing a few items that we requested on the sheet the night before and the gentleman walking into the room when I asked him to wait by the door was unprofessional. After bringing up these issues to reception, they tried to rectify the situation to the best of their ability. Please suggest to your staff to knock on the door before entry and to give reasonable time for people to respond. All in all, I would visit the hotel again as I don't feel like the problems we faced were deal-breakers.

I recently stayed at the Macdonald hotel where we got married and stayed for the Santa weekend, the staff were amazing couldn't do enough for us Frankie and Jodie were great for our wedding and the duty manager who I sadly forgot his name made everything perfect for us can't thank you enough. Would definitely return to this

I wanted to love the Morlich hotel in the macdonald resort and I did the staff at main reception where amazing so helpful especially when we had a problem with our room and they had to move us and even gave us a complimentary drink while waiting ?Where it falls down ? ok we booked in for new year 3 nights also booked the black tie event (as we where told on phone only event going on) well not being quite 80 yet (only in our 40s ) this was a disaster ? we had emailed weeks before to let them know one of our party was lactose intolerant? oops no one seemed to know about that for a start when they started serving dinner? the nibbles on table before the starter came out where interesting as it then took a full hour to get the starters out as they didn?t have enough waiting staff to cater to the amount of people ? now on to the singer she was great but why put her on while everyone is eating what a waste of a good singer to be ignored ?. Then we get to the Scottish band well we had some man ruin that talking through all the Scottish music showing people how to dance (his voice made me want to grab a rope and hang myself) but it completely ruined it as most people already knew the dances and the ones that didn?t would have just followed suit anyway? we ended up leaving before the bells as it was just a joke the waiters taking glasses from tables that where not finished just was the icing on the cake for me ? we decided to leave on New Year?s Day due to the face we could not sleep anyway why would you have a maintenance man / Gardner out at 8:50 in the morning using a petrol leaf blower waking up the whole hotel that?s just a joke on new years morning ? I had to actually take a video as it was that loudFood & drinks: Food and drink is a little overpriced especially as your paying a lot of money to stay at hotel peroni bottle £6.90We had haggis Bon Bon?s in the Lagan bar with a bowl of soup a pint of Guinness and a glass of wine £39
