Amazing service. I dropped in unannounced with a failing derailleur and a potential holiday stopper. Andy saved the day and had me back on the road bikepacking again in no time. A real superhero, thanks again Andy. I would say definitely the best bike shop in Aviemore.

Came into the store today to buy new tyres and a £2400 bike. I got completly ignored by the person behind the counter, in favour of a man telling stories about being on a capsized boat. I won't be back, I will buy online from now on.

Maiden voyage on my kayak.Just received my new Baltic buoyancy aid from Backcountry Scot there was a slight delay in receiving it due to ?Fun in the Sun? over the weekend . However, after a quick phone call to the shop my buoyancy aid came this morning, enabling me to get out onto the Loch by midday today.I purchased my buoyancy aid from Backcountry Scot reasoning that it?s a small business based in here in Scotland not a large multinational. The buoyancy aid is excellent, and competitively priced. Communication with the shop both through their online portal, and by telephone was first class I have no hesitation in recommending them to other water sports enthusiasts

Hired 2 adult bikes for the day. Bikes were great, really well maintained and good spec, much better than I had expected for hire bikes. The guy that served us was really friendly and helpful, made sure we had all the equipment that we needed, would highly recommend.

We had lost or broken two key screws (brake calliper and lever) on our MTBs and Backcountry gave us the right spare parts and took time to fix and check the setup..for free. Great guys!

Great bike rental option in Aviemore. Andy is super helpful and responsive, as well as having an amazing cache of consignment clothing for outdoor enthusiasts. We will be back in the area again this summer and won't hesitate to get back in contact with him for rentals.

We hired bikes for half a day from here while on holiday near Aviemore. Staff helpful and friendly, bikes excellent, very reasonable rates compared to others. Would hire from them again.
