ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I would add a sixth star if it was possible. It had everything: delicious food, an astonishingly knowledgeable guide, unbelievable historical gizmos and gadgets (from a pre-colonial Hong Kong marriage bed to a Victorian tear catcher to one of Winston Churchill's cigars from when he stayed). Went with adults and children aged 9-45 and all absolutely loved it. Would recommend to everyone who is in the area.Noteworthy details: Interesting Titsnic connection, with China dishes from first class and intended replacement bathroom for the Titanic in Churchill's rooms.

Stumbled across this fabulous eatery expecting run of the mill cafe but it was fantastic! Gorgeous historic interior, lovely staff accommodating the kids' food requests, wonderful hidden garden and yummy food - would massively recommend!

Fascinating house, with an amazing history. The tour was brilliant, and matched by the wonderful food in their café. Will certainly be back.

We were staying in the property next door (The Potager) and found out that there was a tour of Pool House the following day.It was really interesting seeing inside this beautiful old house and the stories we were being told of its past were fascinating! It was a fabulous couple of hours

Stopped off at the North by Northwest cafe. What a delightful quirky place. The two ladies who served us were very friendly and welcoming. Coffee and cake delicious. Dog friendly. Don't drive past...park up and go in. It is well worth it.

We stopped off at the cafe en-route to Gairloch on our bikes. What a lovely place! The ladies behind the counter were very welcoming and the cakes were delicious. The interior is very quirky, with weird and wonderful artefacts, from who knows where. There is a billiard table in the middle of the room.I would highly recommend.
