We have visited many lovely, welcoming cafes and coffee shops on our trip and unfortunately this one did not live up to expectations. Lots of signs on the road pointing out the cafe, but when we arrived there was a sign saying no walk-ins on a Sunday and the staff said they would not serve us coffee despite it not being that busy. Propose you consider adding the information to the signs on the road so people to save people the detour on a Sunday!

Stopped for lunch. Very popular but small café with an amazing view - best to phone ahead for table if you know your are going. Menu had some Gluten free options such as toasties.

Just a quick stop for coffee, have a look at the map to continue out trip. Great fresh coffee and cakes. Lovely hand knitting wooly jumpers !Parking: Parking is right at the back of the premises. Enough room for campers but I guess if busy you must be comfortable to reverse back!

We love this place. My sister and I found it by chance last year when we popped in and had the most amazing gluten free cheesecake. We are back in Gairloch again for a holiday so drove over and had GF cheese cake again on Friday. Then booked in for a Sunday roast today.I'm coeliac and don't eat meat and they couldn't have been more accommodating ? I had the most amazing GF roast dinner with lentil and veg patties instead of meat. And a delicious Yorkshire pudding. Polished off with GF cheesecake. We literally couldn't have eaten anything else.Great service, great food, great gluten free, vegetarian range and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend and is definitely our go to place next time we are here.Dietary restrictions: A great range of Gluten free dishes and very accommodating.

Found this lovely little cafe today as we were driving around with no plans. The friendly owners do the hosting and the cooking. oh and a very cute little doggy keeps an eye on the place. I had the prawn sandwich on homemade bread and it was the best bread I had eaten in a long time, my husband had a panini which he enjoyed. We then forced in a slice of Lemon and Lime cheesecake each which was absolutely beautiful.Don't know if we will ever come this way again but if we do we will be back

Owners couldn?t have been more kind- we were cycling the North Coast 500 and arrived for lunch on a Sunday without realising it was Sunday lunch by booking only. Despite managing booked guests, they made us coffee and sausage sandwiches (plus dessert?) as we were way through a 90-mile day and really not able to go anywhere else. Lovely people.

We were a party of 4 motorcyclists heading from Ullapool to Applecross and saw signs for the establishment at around 11am on Saturday 24th June '23. After going up the steepish drive, we found a nice sized carpark around the back in which to park and manoeuvre our heavily loaded bikes. On entering we were professionally greeted by the proprietor Andy who supplied menus as we sat down next to the large picture window looking out over the bay. A super view by the way with access to binoculars if required. We ordered two bacon rolls and two broccoli and Stilton soups. One regular coffee, two large coffees and one macchiato coffee. Service was brisk and both the food and coffees thoroughly enjoyable and filling. ?Would we recommend the Oran-Na-Mara, 100 %.Previous posts have questioned the signs, the toilet access, the booking situation under certain conditions but the posters seem to fail to recognise it's the proprietors home as well as a business and that naturally imposes some constraints for owner and customer. The "Please don't park bikes here" sign by the narrow entrance for example is quite understandable when you find out thoughtless cyclists park their bikes there and block / limit access. The bathroom code prevents non patrons from using the exceptionally nice and clean facilities which my wife appreciated. As for pre booking, we didn't and we're a party of 4 but given its only the proprietor and his wife Kimberly to freshly cook and serve, I can understand the need for prior warning and a booking system. It's not a negative issue, just one of practicality. For us we saw the establishment as comfortably catering for couples, families of 4 etc but move into the unannounced "party group" of 11 and it would become impractical. As I said in the beginning we were a party of 4 motorcyclists and we were welcomed and served well, far better than some other establishments we have been to over the years

What a great find that we went back a second time. Excellent views over Loch Ewe with the most amazing bird feeders that attracted a great variety of birds. From sparrows to robins, siskins, gold finches, great tits and song thrushes amongst many others. (apologies to the bird varieties not mentioned) The food was excellent and the owner, Andy, was very friendly and would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who's passing.

Great full Scottish, both meaty and veggie one, cute pets on the property and awesome shop overall. We lucked out showing up at opening time without booking on Sunday (they ask to book in advance for Sundays), had a great table at the window with stunning view. Will come back when we're in the area again.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian full Scottish breakfast was great, veggie haggis and veggie bacon included beside the usual veggie sausages, egg, etc.

Andy, the owner, is always really kind and welcoming to us, also, the cafe has a really good view and a really good environment, and the food was top quality. The bread they make is amazing, and all the other food as well. Nice coffee and sweet treats, and good value.
