Rooms: Very comfortable, bed was perfection, nearby Village Inn was 15 minute walk, Bothy a little further. They supplied hi via jackets for the walk along the beautiful dark quiet road. The terrace was perfection right over the water.

An absolutely stunning location. We stayed in the Rose cabin which is beautiful; comfortable beds, lovely decor and the log burner is just perfect! We very much enjoyed the eggs from the on site chickens! An ideal place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and unwind!

Amazing 2 night stay in a perfect location. Beautiful views of the lock, whether that be sat on the sofa with the log fire burning, or snuggled up outside on the veranda with a glass of wine.Very clean and tidy. Adequate space but with a cosy feel. Bed was comfortable, underfloor heating was amazing in the bathroom and the shower was spacious and warm. The owner updated us on information needed and even contacted us to spot seals or otters that had been spotted in front of the lodge. We took our toddler who thought it was amazing watching the water. The early morning wake ups were worth it sat eating breakfast watching the sun rise over the lock and seeing snow on top of the mountains.Would definatley recommend for a couple or family with a baby/toddler.

Simply fantastic. The best self catering accommodation I've stayed in - Scotland or anywhere else for that matter. Really cosy (even during some fairly extreme weather), brilliantly appointed and the location/view is unbelievable. Will definitely be going back.

An exceptional holiday home with every home comfort. Very clean, comfortable and the bed ensures a restful sleep. The owners have thought of everything you could need for a short holiday. The washer/dryer was particularly handy for wet hillwalking gear. We stayed in January so weather was chilly however the accommodation was so cosy. Pop your coat on and sit on the balcony with outstanding views in every direction. Truly scenery for the soul.

We have visited Ardmay Lodge in the summer and winter now and what a beautiful place that changes with the seasons! The large patio door allows you to watch the world go by, relaxing by the wood burner or popping out onto the decking/balcony in the summer to have a closer look at the wildlife and mountains. We always self cater and this is one of the best stocked, comfortable and clean places we have stayed in. Lovely, friendly owner who is always happy to help.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Ardmay Lodge. An absolutely wonderful location with accommodation to match. The accommodation is very comfortable and well finished and the views from the lounge are amazing. The decking is a lovely place just to sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere. We will definitely return. Patrick and Jo.

We had a wonderful time here, this place is a hidden gem! The owner was really welcoming and helpful on arrival, then left us to enjoy our stay in peace. The lodge itself is beautifully decorated and well equipped, with lots of little touches to make you feel at home. We were blown away by the view - none of the photos online do this place justice! We were very relaxed during our stay, it was so peaceful, and we were lucky enough to see seals in the loch. It?s such a stunning area, we highly recommend staying here. I?m sure we will be back again soon.

We booked a 3 night break and when we arrived we were warmly greeted by Kim and shown our amazing lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, very well equipped and very comfortable. I think we can honestly say this is the very best self catering accommodation we have stayed in ever. The lodge was spotlessly clean and lots of nice little extra touches with binoculars, tea and coffee, milk and salt and pepper etc. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom and a very powerful shower too. Even a washing machine if you need it.The view from the lodge is simply spectacular and we found ourselves at different times of day and night just staring out taking in the breath taking view.We were very lucky with the weather for the whole 3 days and so we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening, with a glass of wine and the sun beating down on us.We visited Inverary and Lochgoilhead, both beautiful places along probably one of the most scenic roads in Scotland, the Rest and be Thankful. My husband who is from the North East of Scotland has never visited this part of Scotland before and said this was the most beautiful part of Scotland he has ever visited. We honestly felt so chilled and relaxed after our 3 night stay and one week later I am constantly reminiscing of our time there last week. We will definitely be back for a second visit.
