The bar was cold and had water dripping through the ceiling. Later in the night there was very loud music playing until 3am..the same track! Normally I can find something good to say in my reviews but this was unpleasant in every aspect.

Absolutely disgusting place. I have never witness such poor standards. The manager spoke and treated his staff and customers with disrespect.Food was served cold and was frankly inedible. You would get better service at a kennels

I stayed here for 2 nights, including dinners and breakfast. I really enjoyed my time here. The Rooms are modern and immaculate. The restaurant was lovely and the options are really good especially liked that there was good vegetarian/vegan options for dinner and breakfast. It's on a beautiful Loch and a great location for the Kilmartin Glen sites like Nether Largie and Dunadd. I really recommend it.Rooms: Beautifully presented and modern rooms.Nearby activities: Kilmartin Glen sites. Nether largie, Dunadd.Food & drinks: Delicious food. Vegetarian and vegan options.

Lovely location and a lovely stay. Rooms are very well laid out. Meals (evening and breakfast) were both very good. A lovely evening in the bar. Great atmosphere. And great views from out of my room window. If you?re here it?s well worth a trip down the road to Craignish Point. Beautiful views out towards Jura.Nearby activities: Head down to Craignish Point on the single track road. Worth it for the views.

Popped in here for a quick drink, stayed for the excellent service, atmosphere and food.During our last night staying in Ardfern we popped in for a drink.Immediately we were greeted by a lovely host who went on to make sure our time there was as pleasant as possible. The service was fantastic and the food was top notch too - try the Cullen Skink.Nothing was too much trouble for the bar staff who kept making sure that we enjoyed our food and that the fire was topped up with wood to make sure we stayed warm. This is a lovely, wee cozy pub with a pleasant atmosphere. We don't have a dog but I love how it was dog friendly and the staff made sure the pooches were well looked after by providing treats and water. This was a perfect example of Scottish hospitality and I'd highly recommend it if you fancy a quick pint or a bite to eat.The service was so good a friendly little spaniel that the whole bar loved decided to pop up to the bar to patiently wait for a wee dog biscuit and the staff happily obliged. When we joked about whether humans get treats too, one of the bar staff who looked after us for the whole night let us taste her homemade chocolate brownie which was out of this world.I'd suggest that gets put on the menu because it would go down beautifully with a nice glass of milk or some ice cream. When we come to the area again, it will be the first place we visit.

Our stay at the Galley of Lorne was made memorable by the cleanliness of our room, the friendliness of the staff and the lovely location. A particular aspect was the fuss they made of our Great Dane, Dolly, treats and cuddles from everyone, staff and locals alike! We would thoroughly recommend The Galley of Lorne to dog owners and seasoned travellers alike.

What a find. We stayed here for two nights in September. It?s a Lovely old hotel with the most stunning views across the loch, The rooms were lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. We are staying again when we are in the area.

The food was beautiful, reasonably priced and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Very doggy friendly. We found this place by accident whilst passing though. Will definitely return again.

Stayed in the Galley Of Lorne Inn. The room looked wonderful. Unfortunately, it will not win the clean award. It was dusty had paper on the bathroom floor and the shower was leeky. After the shower flood the bathroom was cleaner than before. The chef in the Kitchen does a great job. Unfortunately Service personnel seems allergic to work. The barmaid was unmotivated and helpless. And the breakfast waiter was unable to organise and maintain 4 Tables at once ordering at different times. The galley has a lot of potential and a marvellous location. Once staff recognise that and put in the effort they will shinRooms: Alexander was being controlled by other rooms. Look good not cleanFood & drinks: Good Food and great presentation. Useless service personnel

Glad we found this little gem. Just back from an overnight at Galley of Lorne Inn and will definitely be back...as soon as possible. Cannot recommend the Inn enough. Staff were attentive, friendly and very welcoming.Room (Skye) was lovely with a great view over the loch. Food was superb - breakfast yummy! Weather a bit disappointing but I'm Scottish so used to it. Still nice for walks though. Considering that the hospitality trade was battered to pieces during the pandemic (and since), the staff deserve a huge "well done".
