Today I've just been hit by a wave of nostalgia over some lentil soup I had here over 10 years ago. It must have been quite delicious for me to still have such fond memories of it.

Not worth the entrance. Everything looks similar, nothing special. And the Cafe doesn?t even have a beer.

Good café, nice and clean, but closes earlier than expected.
Fort George is really worth visiting so a nice cuppa at the end of your tour is always good. Just don't leave it too late. Suggest you pop your head in on your walk and check closing times as I'm sure they vary through the season.

Fabulous!
Lentil soup with fresh bread, just what you need when it's 2c , absolutely delicious.
Followed by a fresh scone, jam, butter or cream if you wanted.
All served by lovely, helpful staff.
Thoroughly recommended!!

Absolutely insane pricing structure at £1.10 for a single tunnocks teacake.

Not a fan
Visited today, nice cafe, set in the surroundings of the glamours military fort george base.
Ordered 1 x Coffee and 1 x Tea. Drinks were pretty good and were reasonably priced at £2.50 each. Unfortunately, everything else was a complete tourist trap!!! Sandwiches were over £5 each and soup nearly £6!!! Just feels like a complete rip off!!
There is a small range of foods, but nothing rustic or homemade, just very simple and very expensive.
Take a picnic if you want my advise.

Wasn't open today when I visited. Don't know why.The other cafe on site, which isn't on googlemaps or the Fort George map, served bacon pannini heated up from fridge but smelt bad

Not a massive selection of hot foods available here but was perfectly adequate as a snack stop. Bacon Rolls were amazing though, just not a huge selection for teens and puckish youngsters!

Brilliant cafe in the magnificent Fort George. The bacon rolls are excellent and loaded with bacon. Great coffee. Staff very friendly and love dogs.

Inside fort George which is well worth a visit. The cafe is good but only limited food for allergen sufferers

Not a lot of choice but the potato and leek soup was delicious served with a huge chunk of bread and butter.
