Great little community fuel pump. Excellent price (cheapest for unleaded I've seen since driving up from Glasgow) and easy to use.

Quality of food was fantastic. We had crab and mango, langoustines, scallops, soup and more. All cooked and served to perfection. As usual, the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The owner, Judith Fish chatted with us and checked that all was well. Can?t wait to go back,

We were doing the NC500 and hadn't booked as we were unsure what we were doing that night and popped in on the off chance that they could fit us in and there was no hesitation from them, although they were fully booked and clearly busy they made room for us which was great. The service was very good and the food was great, they have a captive market so I didn't expect the high standard that they have, but the food was full of flavour, hot and down right delicious. If you are in the area I can't recommend it enough.

My heart broke a little at this visit. I've stayed numerous times at the Inn. It's where I got engaged. And yet, it's a shadow of what it was and we cut our stay short. We stayed in 2 rooms. Both had damp. Room number 8 on the ground floor shouldn't even be open to the public, the wallpaper was half hanging from the wall and the wall behind it was covered in large patches of mould. The bathroom door to the en suite couldn't close properly it was swollen and too big for the door frame. What hasn't changed is the staff's attitude. They are bubbly and friendly and attentive. All smiles. And the food is still delicious. But my visit made me sad and wish that happier days are ahead for the hotel side of the inn and that it gets the upgrade that it badly needs. I'd recommend The Inn as a place to eat or drink, but I won't be staying there until the accommodation has had some love.

Very convivial atmosphere and excellent food and beer. The Applecross inn is the hub of the village.

One outstanding monkfish and chips. One undersized steak and ale pie but tasty nonetheless. Excellent Applecross beer on tap. Great atmosphere although a little busy for us. Would return. Attentive and warm staff.

We booked a table for 4 (two adults and two children) at the Applecross Inn on Friday night. The booking was for 6pm and we were advised that they would need the table back by 7.30pm, no problem with that at all. Arrived at 6pm, we were seated and ordered food and drinks. Both myself and my husband ordered steak, his was to be rare and mine medium rare. The food didn?t arrived until 6.50pm which was fine, still gave us 40 mins to eat our food and drink the wine. However both the steaks arrived over cooked. My husbands was more medium which although not being ideal he was ok with. However mine arrived very much over cooked being more medium-well/well and pretty dry. I mentioned this to the waitress and she agreed and said she would take it back and get it replaced. About 5 minutes later the supervisor/manager appeared and said that she would get me a new steak however it would take at least 20 minutes and in her opinion my steak was medium-rare and ?there was still some blood? I disagreed with this saying it was over cooked. My husband mentioned that we were due to give the table back at 7.30 and if the steak was going to take at least 20 minutes we would obviously need the table for longer. The woman then began to complain that it was causing her a hassle as they were fully booked and stomped away. At this point following a discussion with my husband I decided to approach the supervisor to tell her that I would leave the new steak and that would solve her table issue. She half heartedly asked me to stay and eat the steak as ?that was now 2 steaks wasted? or I could have fish and chips as that was quick but following such poor customer service I declined her offer leaving with my family at 7.30. Overall food was average quality, and service was very poor. At £29 for a steak the least you expect is for it to be cooked correctly. I know that mistakes can happen but to blame the customer for those mistakes is very unfair, she treated me like an idiot who didn?t understand the food I was ordering. She also made us feel uncomfortable for the order taking longer than we had the table for left. I teach Travel and Tourism in a high school and will use this as an example of poor customer service and how NOT to resolve a problem.

We arrived at the Applecross inn looking for drinks and a meal on a Saturday night at approximately 5pm and were asked if we had a booking, which we did not. They found us a table, and we ordered drinks however there was a problem when we asked if we could order food in about an hour or two because they had bookings coming in. We asked if we could book back in later on that evening if there was availability, but were advised that they there was nothing, they were fully booked. It felt like the whole welcome had cooled when they discovered we had not booked. It was a little early for us to eat so we just ordered drinks and starters whilst we worked out where we would go later on for food. Our starters arrived and they were lovely, I had the scallops and it was beautiful, our party all seemed happy with the food. The staff were very keen to clear our plates despite one of our party still eating and we had to send them back several times. Once she had finished her food, plates were quickly whisked away and without a word the bill appeared on our table immediately followed by a member of staff with the card reader. We advised we weren't ready to pay yet, to which, a more senior member of staff was sent back to request payment from us. We had only been at the table for 45 minutes and had just been served fresh drinks but felt like we were being harassed to leave. The staff member told us that he needed the table back by 6pm, despite there being two vacant tables of the same size immediately behind us and no new customers waiting. We told him that we had been advised we had the table until 6.30 pm when we sat down, however he wanted us moved off that table so we finished our drinks quickly, paid and left. They made some small attempt to move us to a corner table, however we declined because of the manner in which we had been treated. I've never felt so undervalued as a customer, our table have all worked in the hospitality industry and can appreciate how stressful and busy things can get, however the Applecross Inn did not provide very good customer service at all. We even overheard the waiting staff gossiping about other customers whilst stood at the till area nearby. I really wouldn't recommend going here unless you have booked, maybe they are more pleasant to you then. We did however have a lovely evening of food and drinks at the Applecross Walled Garden and I would thoroughly recommend going there instead.

The place was fine, friendly and clean. All the food was good but as a veggie I chose Falafel burger, which was truly horrible: just the spinach and falafel burger within a dry toasted bun; no garnish, no side salad, no onion or tomato (except at additional cost). I can generally eat anything put in front of me but this I struggled with and would never choose again. My family looked at it and sympathised!

What an amazing drive this is, incredible views and surprises around every corner, definitely a bucket list challenge and worth the distance traveled.

Very good pub food, very friendly staff, good size meals. Reasonably priced. Been to both restaurants in Applecross, this one far better value for money, friendlier and tastier. Busy which provides a great atmosphere. Plenty of staff who were very attentive. Would highly recommend a visit.

We arrived on a stormy day, but the place was so cheerful, it didnt really matter! Stayed for hours, and no one hassled us. A wide selection of food for non fish eaters as well, all of very good quality. And haggis and cranachan to represent Scotland as well!
