Solway cafe is definitely my go to chippy in annan. Friendly staff, great food, good value for money and big portions. I usually get cheese chips and gravy and they absolutely go all out with plenty of cheese and gravy. Kids meals are cheap and my toddler loves them. :) definitely recommend.

We married at Gretna Green on 29 November and decided to have a takeaway after the ceremony. I had seen great reviews for Solway Cafe on Tripadvisor so we went there for a fish supper for my husband and chips and cheese for me. The haddock was freshly cooked and my husband loved it. We both loved the chips which were perfectly cooked and the taste of the vinegar was amazing as we normally can hardly taste it. The meal was great value and the service was very friendly. I would highly recommend Solway Cafe.
