Just returned from 4 nights in the Yurt. Bed was very comfortable, Yurt clean. Log burner soon warmed the yurt on a night. Good supply of crockery etc and an initial supply of teabags and coffee, which was appreciated. I would have liked a mirror in the yurt, as the one in the toilet/shower room is quite high up. I am 5ft 4 and had to get on my toes to see. There is no sockets in the yurt, so had to go across to the common room to charge phone and use a hairdryer. Loved the beaver trail, which was one of the reasons for going. We were very lucky with the weather, and not sure how I would have felt going to use the shower, toilet in the rain, and we were able to bbq, sit outside and enjoy the tranquility. Overall good value stay.

The Re-wilder's hut was peaceful with a very comfortable bed. An ideal place to spend time in a beautiful setting with loads of nature at hand. We saw three beavers and sat and watched them for ages in the twilight. Kitchen and bathroom facilities in the main house were also very good.

Stayed in The Gate Lodge Cottage to avoid the fireworks at home. A wee break with my daughter & dogs. Beautiful peaceful surroundings. Saw red squirrels on our morning walks & seeing them just made our day. Cottage was clean & tidy. No complaints. Fire was set up & basket of logs provided. Paul Ramsay the owner will visit after you have arrived. To check everything is ok & introduce himself. Then you are left to it. Should you require anything you can make contact. Honesty Shop well stocked. Highly Recommend Visiting! Especially if you want to just switch off from everyday life. Great place to recharge & enjoy the peaceful tranquil surroundings.

We stayed in the Hideaway, a gorgeous little hut with a comfortable bed, wood burning stove and a camping stove and enjoyed gorgeous walks on and around the estate. The highlight of course were the beavers, such beautiful and remarkable creatures. We particularly enjoyed our chance to walk along the river with Paul and had the chance to have our questions answered. Definitely a place to return to.

Met all expectations and more. The Hideaway was very warm and cozy considering outside temperature of 1 degrees. Well equiped for an off grid experience. Arrived to catch the last of the October sunshine, fabulous walk around the estate, heard the beavers (alas too dark by then to see them). Comfy bed, woodburning stove, camping stove with two rings and grill. Off mains Loo and hot shower - clean and well equiped. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK FOR A LONGER STAY - CAN'T WAIT!

Bamff estate is the best place in Scotland to see wild beavers, and a woderful demonstration of what can be achieved by the rewilding of farmland. The Gate Lodge, where we have stayed on our last two visits, is simply and traditionally furnished and is welcoming and comfortable.

We stayed in north yurt which was advertised as ?luxury? on the website. I?m not sure that?s how I would describe it. Great for people who want to get back to nature but not luxury. No electric in the yurt which we weren?t prepared for. Also no WiFi or mobile signal so quite hard to contact anyone or do any research on the local area. The hosts were friendly and clearly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Paul showed us around and was happy to answer any questions. Unfortunately I think the yurts may be better suited to a summer visit as my belongings are now permeated with a smell of damp despite having the wood burner lit. The wild lands walk along the beaver trail was very interesting and we saw the beavers twice, as well as seeing a lot of their activity (gnawed trees etc) which was interesting. All in all probably excellent for someone from the city who wants to escape the rat race and get back to nature, but not the experience we were expecting from our booking.

We stayed at Easter Bamff and loved it. The cottage is more roomy and comfortable than I had expected and we are keen to return. One of the owners (Paul Ramsay) showed us around the rewilding project and what a nice gentleman he is. Very knowledgeable and clearly someone who is trying to live his values,

We stayed in the Gate Lodge (self catering) and were very comfortable there. The estate owners are very accommodating and it was stunning to see the beavers and red squirrels. The Gate Lodge has a small private garden. There is good central heating and hot water, supplying ample for a shower or bath. A wood burning stove in the lounge provides a nice focal point.

There are numerous accommodations on offer here. We were originally going as a couple to one of the yurts but we decided to upgrade to Easter Bamff cottage and went along with another couple for 3-nights. Easter Bamff has two bedrooms as well as numerous other rooms - it?s a full blown holiday cottage. Very rustic, warm and comfortable. We cooked and ate in every night - perfect for us. We either walked around the estate or walked to Ailyth by day and went to the Beaver pools in the late evening. We were never disappointed. You have to be still and quiet but the beavers are true showmen, coming out to ?perform? on time and demonstrating their hydrological skills. The barn owl and red squirrels were great supporting acts too. Seek out Paul to go on a guided walk. He?s very knowledgable and informative. All in all a great break. We hope to be back.

We have had the most fantastic stay at the Old brewhouse cottage Everything was perfect- there were plenty of little touches that made the cottage feel family friendly and cosy- The owners thought of everything I clusodng helpful maps for walks in the area and in the estate We loved being there and learning about rewinding- we were very fortunate to see the beavers at dusk and learn how they benefit the area . I could not recommend it more- a perfect getaway for a few days- the area surrounding is also fantastic and we recommend Reekie Linn waterfall and the den of Alyth in particular

Stayed at Bamff Ecotourism's Hideaway after. a long weekend on the hills. Could not have been made to feel more welcome by the team and they had been especially helpful over the phone and email whilst organising my booking at short notice. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower and toilet facilities felt like a little bit of luxury whilst hiding in a forest! The wood burning stove does a greta job of heating up the cabin but be warned, make sure you really stoke it before you head to be or else be ready to put your down-layers on when getting out of bed first thing (in Autumn anyway)! For two people, the cooking facilities are also more than adequate, ideal for a simple dinner by the fire. I'd thoroughly suggest leaving the blinds open over night. You may well loose a little heat but I guarantee it'll be worth it when you wake with the rising sun and the dawn chorus from the birds. ALSO, use the candles provided rather than the lights. Saves on electricity and is waaaay more fun! There is a reason I like returning here when I come back to Scotland

We had absolutely wonderful stay at Bamff. We spent two nights in the off-grid Burnieshed Cabin, which is in a particularly peaceful part of the site. We really enjoyed our relaxing walks, including along the stream, where we witnessed the amazing work of the beavers. Another highlight, was the firemaking course we did with Malcolm (from All Five Senses), who is based on site. We used the skills we learnt to make our own fire and cook food back at the cabin. We wish we had stayed for even longer and will make sure to do so when we return!

We stayed in the North Yurt for two nights, surrounded by magnificent trees and a flowering lime tree humming with bees. Clear, starlit skies - no light pollution or traffic, just owls hooting and the dawn chorus. Wonderful walks and several hours watching the beavers at close quarters. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Bamff is an amazing enterprise, seeking to rewild the whole estate, promoting biodiversity and respect for the natural world in all its glory.
