My wife and I popped in during visit to Alva Glen. Warm welcome from friendly staff, fantastic food and tastey ale. Will be back to try more from the menu (and see more of the Glen!) ?

A typical pub restaurant. A very relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Informative of the specials of the day and well mannered staff. I ordered the filet steak with Diane sauce, followed by the nostalgic peach melba. The food was excellent. It was a very enjoyable evening.

The food, atmosphere, and staff was exactly what we were looking for on our trip.
I cannot say enough nice things about this little family running business. We gave it a shot after good Google reviews on our trip and it didn?t disappoint.
We ordered the Vegetable Soups, Ribs (full rack), and traditional steak pie. Everything had great portions and tasted wonderful.
We as tourists were given suggestions on places to visit for the day and they all were super friendly and helpful.
Super quaint and cute place. If I visit again this is now a must stop.

Staying with relatives in the area, so booked wife and myself in for Sat night. You need to book ahead as it's busy.
Amazing welcome from lady behind the bar for a pre dinner drink, nice bar atmosphere. Went through to the restaurant and yet again another lovely greeting. Excellent window table for 2. Menu has something for everyone on it including vegan as well. Superb not rushed service, had to go for the full hit starter main desert. Ooooh still full now! Excellent all three courses. Had the 10oz fillet medium rare. Outstanding.. Can't wait to return with all the family. Stayed in the bar till closing. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

All I can say is Brilliant we had the haggis and black pudding starter. Chilli, bean burger, cajun chicken . Happy cheerful staff. Highly recommend
