IMO the key to this course is the second shot approach to the green Particularly nasty rough around some of the greens so if you get a bad bounce kiss goodbye to your ball as it disappears into lush, thick, Scottish greenery full of nettles and thistles. No warm up facilities apart from a rather tatty net and the putting green looked like a cow pasture on my visit. The main course was in good condition and the fairways and greens were well kept. I found the course long but fair although the gully in front of 17 is just stupid and serves no propose that I can see. 18 is a daunting way to finish the course. I'd play there again and suspect that having better knowledge of the layout would make play easier.”
