I thought it was closed when I arrived .went to reception and called the number.i was met by the nicest man ever .he was really helpful and welcoming .thank you ! ( I didn't get your name).i popped next door for fantastic food at good price .My room .! The lovely quality towels and bedlinen the warmth and the cleanliness not to mention how comfortable the bed was .absolutely spot on.This place is fantastic .just one thing .the heating was a bit too much .but 100% happy I stayed here .thank you for a great stay it was perfect

Had no expectations of this hotel as the stay was gifted to us. Absolutely amazing hotel no complaints, the staff especially Des were so accommodating nothing was too much trouble. The location was fab you have a very short walk to the railway station which will take you to places like Edinburgh and Glasgow, the price of the train ticket you couldn?t drive and park there for the amount spent on fares. Would definitely recommend and are looking to book again this year.

Went here for breakfast. Huevos Rancheros was amazing. Fill you up for the whole day. Can take dogs in. Nice staff.

I can?t comment on staying on the hotel but avoid the restaurant at all costs. Despite the very nice decor, and clean bright interior, this was truly the worst food I?ve had in a very long time.We were a party of three and all agreed the food was very poor. Frozen food at restaurant prices, badly cooked, poorly presented. One dish came with no salad, when my friend asked for some, she got. Saucer of wilted leaves, and nothing else. We asked for tartare sauce and got a soup bowl full with no spoon.Terrible food, we won?t be back

We stayed one night in a family room. It was vertical spacious and all 5 of us had a good night sleep. Two bathrooms and good beds! Breakfast was a bit of a disaster because of the problems in kitchen. We had to wait for more than an hour before we got the food. The coffee was cold when the Scottish breakfast arrived. The staff were friendly and did not charge for us for the breakfast at all.Rooms: Family room for six was very good and clean. There was two bathrooms which was great!

We stayed in a family room. The rooms were spacious and clean, two bathrooms a big plus.We bought breakfast separately. It was quite a disaster. We waited about an hour for the food, the coffee came soon, so it was cold when the food came. Some of the ordered dishes had run out and were told about it only towards the end of the wait. The eggs were melted because they were on warm plates... The staff finally told me about the problems in the kitchen and did not charge for breakfast. Without the hassle of breakfast, we were satisfied with our accommodation in the beautiful little village of Balloch.
