What an amazing cafe, every time we visit the food is consistently amazing, we cannot fault this cafe for anything, the All Day Breakfast is second to none and the New York Club sandwich is fantastic! The staff are always pleasant and friendly. The lentil soup and the croissants, toasties and sandwiches are also all very tasty! If you are in the area The Fountain Café is definitely the place to go for a lunch or even just a cup of tea and a light snack! We live this place ??

A cafe that appears to cater primarily to the locals and has a good, solid working-class vibe to it. Stopped off here as it was pretty much the last cafe before the wilderness began to the north. I liked this place because it ticked all the main boxes:

Cheerful service, great value. Stopped off on our way to hillwalking for bacon rolls, and would definitely do so again.
