After at least 3 years of other opticians telling me my daughter had "split reflex" and not explaining what this is, we visited this opticians. On eye test Peter explained split reflex and that my daughter required referral for a possible diagnosis of keretaconous which it turned out she had. This requires early intervention to prevent corneal transplant and our previous optician had done nothing about this. After referral she is now under 6 month follow up at Hairmyres and Gartnavel requiring an eye scan each time. Would not go anywhere else now.

I have been calling this opticians all day regarding an appointment. I have been cut off at least 7 times. Phone rings then someone answers and hangs up. Awful service. I wanted to cancel and rearrange however I shall not be contacting again.My family have used this opticians for many years. Not anymore

Called Peter on Saturday morning with an eye issue and was seen promptly with no prior appointment. He proceeded to send me to the Consultant ophthalmologist at Hairmyres who confirmed Peter's diagnosis of Uveitis, an inflammation of the middle of the eye. I was soon sent home after some IV drugs had been administered along with three lots of drops to take care of pressure, inflammation and pain. Thank you to Peter, his wife and the team at Boots Opticians in Airdrie.
