Ate at the restaurant, delicious food, slightly slow service but a giant group arrived. Got the cullen skink with a twist, mac & black, blaggis burger, and flapjack crumble, all tasty.

In the right place for a meal on the way back from walking in the Cairngorms. We hadn't booked, but I would recommend that you do else you'll be eating something battered from the chippy across the road!

Breakfast was nice, and breakfast service was good. Not a very restful stay as music from kitchen/staff room playing into our room until 11pm. After phoning reception to query they initially said it would be loud until 1am, then turned the music off.

This hotel is in a good location with easy access to distilleries in the area. The room is quite cramped, and the walls are quite thin. We could hear everything going on all around us...essentially, you can't hide what you are doing in your room. If you get on the side next to the road, the trucks will definitely keep you up into the late evening. The customer service was great, staff were really friendly. Breakfast was also a nice surprise; quite filling. If we were to return to this area however, I would likely stay somewhere else, mostly due to the noise.

We called in for coffee as the café next door had closed early (as is the case for lots of place in the area in February). Nice location, bit old fashioned inside but served our purpose. Great choice of whisky behind the bar!
