“Spent 2 nights here on our honeymoon tour of Scotland. The hotel is beautiful, the views and grounds are breath taking. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and well worth the money. Waiting on and bar staff were brilliant, friendly, professional but most importantly had banter, especially Arlene, who arranged a congratulations platter and glass of champagne for our room and had some great conversations with us. The only thing that really disappointed us was the spa. I've swam in outdoor lakes in October that were warmer than that pool. It was absolutely freezing. The lay out wasn't great, thermal suit and jacuzzi were tiny and the pool area looked shabby, stained walls and exposed ceiling. It also smelled of damp dog for some reaso. Spent half and hour in there and never went back which totally defeats the object of going on spa break. Regrettably the state of the "pool and spa" would stop us going back which is a shame because the rest of the hotel was amazing.”
