First time I called the club and asked if I can come around look around and possibly play a bit, and I am a total newbie at golf. The guy at the other end tells me that "we require a handicap certificate". I dig around online, called the guy back and asked... from what I gathered I need to join a golf club first, get a handicap certificate before I can come to your club and look around is that correct? And the guy says "Yes".He even asked me to come around and go to the pro shop and read a sign on the door.Well, I don't even know where to begin to respond to this level of ridiculousness, so I simply tell they guy "OK. Its fine" and hung up. I am really very tempted to leave the guy's name here.
