I accidentally trod on my glasses and mangled them beyond what I thought was possible to restore. I showed them to the ever helpful staff who agreed that they looked irretrievable, however, I was contacted the next day to say they were ready. I am amazed how good they are and was not charged. I am delighted!

I called for an emergency appointment and was seen that morning. Lucy, the optometrist was very efficient, knowledgeable and reassuring. And answered all my questions. An excellent service.

I visited McPhersons today for the first time to get my eye test along with my 8 month old daughter. From start to finish all staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.The waiting room is very comfortable and access to upstairs was made so easy with a pram using the lift.Craig was professional and very patient with us, whilst also being an expert with babies! I absolutely recommend if you have young children. Thank you so much for looking after us so well, we will be back next year!

Sophie is the best!I broke my glasses, called and was advised to come the same hour, saw Sophie and she fixed my broken glasses free of charge!Absolutely fantastic service, will definitely recommend.

I needed to check my eyesight, as I was a few weeks ealier at the different Optitians who gave mme incorrect glasses, I couldn't use them and needed second opinion. I came to McPhersons,been correctly tested and got my new glasses now with correct lenses! Can't thank enought for Lucy who was amazing g in doing her Job and gave me peace of mind. Glasses are corrected now vision is amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ??. Will definitely recommend McPhersons and I will be back when I will need a new glasses xx

After getting my prescription for new glasses, a sales team member declined to accept to place the new prescribed lenses into my existing RayBan frame (that was in pretty good condition). She simply dismissed them without explaining/giving evidence why my frames would not fit that purpose. She tried to push me to buy new frames, and convince me I would need whole new glasses. I didn't like the idea to be persuaded to spend more for getting new frames when I was not sure if I would actually need this. This led me to get a second opinion from a common franchise optician, where I found out: a) my prescription was wrong (unnecessarily stronger for myopia and astigmatism I don't have yet); b) new glasses could be made by keeping my existing Rayban frames. I understand wrong prescriptions often occur, regardless of the optician, but a more flexible approach from the sales team and a tailored approach based on customers' needs would have avoided all this.

Been going to high street opticians for years, who failed to identify the issue. I attended mr mcpherson who identified the problem and got me the care needed. I have never felt so comfortable and confident In practitioner before. All staff friendly and welcoming and just want to do their best for you.Thank you

I had an eye exam recently, not by my usual Optician as I was told she has left. I was very disappointed in the attitude of the Optometrist I did see. He was rather arrogant and not really interested in anything I had to say. In fact I believe that once he found out that I didn?t plan to buy glasses on the day he completely lost interest. I received no dilation drops needed to complete the eye exam and despite being referred to McPhersons many years ago because of very low eye pressures when I queried him he didn?t seem bothered in the slightest. Due to this I went to Asda Opticians several days later and have now collected two pairs of varifocals with all the coatings etc and only paid £120! That?s less than one frame in McPhersons. I will not be going back and advise others to shops around for their glasses. I would of given less stars but the assistant who helped me on arrival was very attentive.

Great experience from start to finish. It makes such a difference going to an Opticians where you?re spent time with & made to feel comfortable. Good selection of glasses. Craig, who saw me was also extremely friendly.

I?ve been a customer for many years as my son requires quite complex and specialised glasses. They always handled his prescription well. No complaints. Unlike some other high street Optitians. Special shout out to Kevin. Always extremely helpful
