Never had any problems. Dunno what others moanin' aboot! Cancel a Direct debit? So simple on the app my child likes to help and he understands the business of banking, teach 'em young. Branch staff in Aberdeen always nice and helpful. Have actually recommended to all my family, setting up new account far easier than other banks.

I dont understand why they have kept the closing hours at 3pm whilst every other shops are generally closing at 6pm or 8pm. Thing is ,if people need to go into the branch then they need to enter it. Closing earlier just causes the same amount of people trying to enter the branch by 3pm and means causing either queuing for longer or missing it altogether. Im seriously thinking about closing my account

pathetic. No way to send an important email, try phoning-it's not going to happen. Why don't Halifax in Union street put their IBAN number somewhere so I can send money from abroad? Will now have to involve my daughter to sort out what should have been a simple matter.

Horrendous and arrogant services. I twice visited aberdeen branch to cancel a direct debit with aberdeenshire council. Both times told not possible contact council contacted council. Said they could.nt cancel there end. Then was asked DO YOU BANK WITH HALIFAX BY ANY CHANCE. . They are talking nonsense. Its your account and you have rights to cancel. After the DD was taken off my account for 370 against my wishes, i went to my local bank of scotland in banchory. Pointed this out and asked if they could help. They canceled in 1 minute and the cashier explained she had more experience and knew the system. Travelled into town today. Went in halifax pointed out what happened. Called me a liar saying council would.nt say a thing like that. I offered to call put my phone on loudspeaker to council. I was then asked to leave the bank by a lady calling herself 1 OF THE MANAGERS. . Certainly will be taking legal advise on this
