“Simply the best gym in aberdeen. I've watched my mum who's in her late 60s go from being unable to side step, to enjoying her 4+ sessions a week, deadlifting over 60kg and more importantly grow in confidence and self worth. As for myself, I've always been fit and active but never stuck to a gym for very long before because it just became mundane, AKR has helped me become a stronger runner, a stronger person and for the most part - a more motivated and happy person! Havent met a person who didnt love their trial. A gym for everyone, a welcoming place for everyone and there really is nowhere else in the city quite like it”
“I joined in with 3 classes while visiting family in Aberdeen and had a great experience.Very well organised, super welcoming instructors and the regulars were also very welcoming. The classes themselves well very well run, we did a lot of work with the rig which a enjoyed and the feedback from the instructors was awesome, totally on point and they were very sharp. For anyone visiting or looking for a CF gym in Aberdeen you don't need to look much further.”
“Joined in August 2021. The staff/coaches here are exceptionally Professional, helpful and welcoming to all levels, I had never done any sort of martial arts before joining and I was welcomed into the classes all of which are extremely fun. The coaches spend a great deal of their time with you as well. I would definitely give it a try if your thinking about it.”

“Another brilliant Blaze class at David Lloyd Aberdeen with Claire. I regularly do Blaze and it is always an amazing work out - instructors Claire, Darren, Lauren, and Gemma are great at motivating you to give your all!”
“This one is probably my fave PureGym in Aberdeen as when I go (after 10pm), it's usually fairly quiet. I used to go Rubislaw but much prefer Wellington for the layout and availability of equipment.”

“I was in Aberdeen for the week at his majesty's theatre and looking for a gym for a couple days. Danny was really helpful and provided a friendly welcoming gym with great equipment and situated right in the centre of the city. Would highly recommend to anyone”
“Brilliant gym in Aberdeen - up visiting friends and popped in with a day pass. Highly recommend if you’re in Aberdeen!Facilities are modern and well kept, and the range of machines and equipment was spot on.”
“Excellent facility with loads of equipment in both CV and weights area plus bike room with proper multi-adjustable bikes (way better than watt bikes which are no use for anyone under about 5’7”). Much bigger with more equipment than the website would suggest. Downside (and a real bugbear for me): weights not put away and left on bars ? and selfish people hogging the squat racks/ doing exercises there that should be done elsewhere e.g. bench press (when actual bench press racks are free), biceps curls etc.”

“It's a well equipped gym, with friendly and kind staff for a very reasonable monthly fee.For me 24/7 easy access is important, also the good quality gym equipment as well.I could recommend it to everybody who's looking for a well priced, nicely equipped, easy access 24/7 gym.”
“Lovely staff. Best gym in Aberdeen! All the amenities and updated equipment. Great swimming pool for leisure and sport. Suitable opening times for most. Only criticism would be to do a thorough clean/wipe down of changing rooms (ladies) and gym equipment/ floor/ceiling. Also amazing classes available all day long. Highly recommended booking a tour to see for yourself.”
“The hotel itself is nice - the room was lovely and spacious. However access to the pool and spa area is ridiculous - on arrival we got told we had to book slots the only ones available were over meal times. and then you were limited to 1 slot of an hour. When questioned - the managers own words "We do not advertise ourselves as a spa hotel" that is the get out clause that, whilst you may book for a weekend of chilling out - do not expect to be able to use the pool/sauna and health club facilities at a time convenient to yourself during your stay.”
“Very good facilities and chilled friendly staff who make you feel welcome. Think there's unfairly negative reviews here as I had more negative experiences in other health clubs of Aberdeen but this has been the best. Relatively quiet at the right times at the pool so not overly chaotic. Good classes too, even yin yoga which is perfect for my health condition Nice community in general here!”
“Fantastic gym, great atmosphere and friendly people - it all helps keep the motivation up! Scott is awesome too and helping me get back in to shape again whilst working around my old age niggles!???”
