I had a bad experience at Figment in Aberdeen, and it had nothing to do with the coffee. My companion and I sat at a table we didn?t realize was off limits. Instead of politely explaining, the woman who seemed to be the owner or manager loudly called us out in front of everyone. It was unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful, especially the way she singled out one of us who is shy and doesn?t like attention being drawn to them. It was embarrassing and totally uncalled for.
We moved without argument, but it felt really embarrassing in front of everyone with the scene she made. After she left, two other customers told us they thought her behavior was rude and unacceptable. That says it all.
At that point, the coffee and food don?t matter. If a place makes you feel unwelcome or humiliated, there?s no reason to come back.

First time visit and can't wait to return. Food was so delicious. Portion sizes were very good to almost too much. Very filling but so tasty. Very fresh tasting and drinks were excellent as well. Atmosphere was very clean, friendly and welcoming. I totally recommend this place for a brunch or coffee and cake or ice cream. It wasn't cheap but average for prices these days and the quality of everything was excellent.

It is not incumbent on the customer to ask for heating to be turned up in a cafe. People go to relax. Many would feel awkward in doing so, as evidenced by the 10 people wearing their coats when we visited. In actual fact, during the winter I DID share with your staff on two occasions that it was cold. One time nothing happened, the other time it warmed up for ten minutes before the heating went off again. That's why we stopped going.
Primarily we come to Figment due to its location near where we live. Yes, the coffee is good, but that's overridden when it's cold.
I suspect you are being disingenuous. You MUST know the temperature setting is low. I get you are trying to save money, but at the expense of the customer's experience, it doesn't fly. Hence, the 1 star review, respectfully, stands.

Cold. My wife and I stopped going to Figment during the winter because of how cold it was. We tried again this week. But despite it being Spring, at only 10C outside, the place was...cold. I counted 10 people wearing coats. Can't express how bad it is to go for a nice warming coffee only to be cold in Scotland. Can't you afford to heat the place?

the drinks and pastries were so good but the 'shakshuka' was a little disappointing, the egg was completely solid and the base had pretty much no sauce and was entirely peppers. It was fine, just not shakshuka.. :(

The food is nice but the menu is only brunch and the cakes aren't very good. The coffee is acceptable for Scotland, but they can't make a cappuccino. I like the location, but the atmosphere is very empty/hollow/hard. Could do with some comfortable seating and to permit people without dogs to sit in the window. A lot of junky decorations or things for sale at the front. And whatever happened to picking your own seat? If I'm queuing to order at the til, I should be able to choose my table.

- a cappuccino does not have velvety milk, it should be 1/3 foam, and very different to a latte.
- provided constructive feedback regarding atmosphere which I hoped you would take on board.

We were greeted by friendly staff with the option to sit down and look at the menu or order straight away, very quick service, the coffee is lovely and the food is delicious! My favourite part of the experience was when I saw a man chatting to customers, he turned out to be the owner after he came and chatted to myself and family, he was so genuine and nice, it?s was nice to see the owner interacting with customers rather than hiding in the back or not being there at all. If I had one bit of feedback it would be for the place to be better advertised, it deserves the recognition!!!! THE CINNAMON ROLL IS TO DIE FOR??

We stopped by for a coffee and cake. The place wasn't rammed but plenty of folk that made for a nice atmosphere. The guys serving were very attentive and helpful. They clearly know about their coffee. The carrot cake was amazing and the Mexican coffee I had was delicious. I bought some to take home. They took the beans and ground hem before resealing. Brilliant place that I would highly recommend
