Had my partner's 60th Birthday party there, couldn't have been happier the service & the buffet was excellent. The only downside I would say is that I was asked half way through the night to give food to the homeless...I would've given everything to the homeless at the end of the night. Management could've warned me that homeless reps would be arriving at some point, this wasn't they're first rodeo with parties etc. Also disappointed with what was boxed up at the end of the night, a few sausage rolls, chicken fillets & cheese rolls. I was told "we'll box up whatever can be boxed up". With that said a good night was had by all my family & friends & Nicola- Events Manager couldn't have been more accommodating when party was being organised A+++++ for Nicola...Carmelite... please let you're customers know in advance homeless reps would be arriving at some point so a better/larger amount of food could have been provided & set aside, I've worked in the 3rd sector for years & know the importance of looking after the less fortunate in society x

The staff are so friendly and helpful....breakfast was lovely, you can pick as little or as much as you want from the menu. They are working with the home office by giving rooms for refugees, I felt very humbled by what they were doing for these unfortunate people. The refugees did not affect my stay in this hotel and I had a lovely time in AberdeenI will be returning to this hotel again.Thank you again Elaine Alan and all the staff for your kindness.Stay positive.

Try to avoid staying right now.Refugees home. When I arrived in the afternoon, the hotel front door was locked( for security reasons)and the staff saw me like a rare species. I was told that majority of the rooms were filled with Afghan refugees and I was contacted by the staff earlier to cancel the order.Around 6 a.m. NextDay the refugees started running and jumping on the hallway and visiting other rooms, every time they opening and closing doors, my walls and bed were vibrating and shaking. There are many refugees staying in the next rooms, either crying or laughing right now . What a day

OMG, what a disaster. Absolutely no atmosphere!! Had booked a tipsy tea party for a friend's 50th, have to say the food was good as we're the cocktails but there was children running around, with no adult supervision, bare footed in the bar area where there may have been broken glass. As it turns out the 56 bedroomed hotel had 50 rooms full with refugees which is fine but please look after the children, after all this is the bar area. Maybe let people know when booking hence people can make up their minds if they still want to go there. Really put a dampener on our afternoon but have to say the staff were really nice

Executive room did not live up to its name. Dark colour scheme was depressing and carpet was like a sheet of thin cloth on the floor. Shabby blinds and dreadful ?wardrobe? which was a well -worn curtain, covering a few coat hangers. Large bathroom was nice but overall the room was very disappointing. Staff at breakfast time were friendly, helpful and pleasant. Location is excellent for city centre and station but I think the hotel needs a bit of a makeover before I would consider returning.

Okay stay at the Carmelite Aberdeen. Food was poor/cold, had to ask for beds to be changed. Hotel staff did not seem observant of customers and guests and we're not attentive. Was expecting better and won't be returning.

The hotel from the outside, bar, restaurant and even the rooms looked good, and then as I was unpacking I first noticed a lump of hair on the drain, then dried pee stains on the toilet, hairs on the bath and a very questionable stain on the outside of the duvet cover! I went down to reception because the phone provided for contacting room service battery was flat. There was wedding guests at check in so eventually when a member of staff asked if everything was ok I discreetly mentioned that our room was filthy, she said she would get a cleaner right up.... After waiting 20 mins and finally sending a WhatsApp message to room service with no answer we also phoned and left a message! I had to start getting ready as we had reservations for dinner elsewhere, I didn't want to go into the shower incase someone came up so there I was hanging over the bath 46 yrs and back not in the best condition washing my hair with the shower, My husband pointed out the flaws and the questionable stain on sheets. He offered us a smaller room, I had already paid for the room at the time of booking, I said no if they could just get it cleaned asap, he asked what time we were going out I said in an hour or so, so he told us to tell him when we left and he would get the room cleaned! 20 mins later a cleaning supervisor came in, cleaned the bits of the room we had mentioned and changed the bed. We quickly got ready no shower no time and left for dinner. When we got back and into bed every spring in the bed was felt, .so an utterly sleepless night was had!. A room not getting cleaned is bad enough in normal times a room not getting cleaned during a covid19 pandemic Is utterly disgraceful! Like everyone else in the world we had not been out in over a year, was so looking forward to getting away for the night to celebrate our belated 10th wedding anniversary which was in Feb and couldn't because of lockdown but the night was ruined.

Pink Death played here @ so did Thee Melody Garden around 1988 when it was the Imperial hotel. The owners then were cool as they just let us get on with it . ????
