Very grateful to the staff at Barclays, Union Street, Aberdeen, for assisting me in applying a Power of Attorney access to my parents? account. I turned up without an appointment but they went out of their way to assist me there and then and explained the process clearly throughout. I particularly want to thank Abi who went above and beyond to complete the application as the bank was closing. He was very knowledgeable, thorough and helpful. Thank you.

I visited the Union Street branch in Aberdeen today and was helped by Murphy Costa with a particularly tricky corporate transaction. She handled it with steady assurance?coordinating several calls, distilling complex details into straightforward explanations, and keeping me fully up to speed. Her clear, confident manner made the whole process unexpectedly smooth, and I couldn?t help but appreciate the thoughtful attention she gave at each step. By the time everything was resolved, I found myself genuinely impressed!

This is an absolutely appalling bank. Not content with funding S Africa apartheid last century and rigging the libor rate, they're now continuing to support the Palestinian genocide by providing loans and financial services to companies such as Elbit systems. Close your Barclays account if you have one and find a more ethical bank or building society.

I was in the union street branch Aberdeen this morning I was having issues my account had been blocked due to me nearly being scammed my account had been blocked I received my new bank card this morning I could withdraw from atm but issues with the account being blocked still unable to use Barclays app and saying I had no registered account my issues were dealt with a woman named Murphy she was very pleasant and helpful Murphy had contacted Barclays fraud team to be able to activate my account again and helped me with setting up.my Barclays app and set up telephone banking Murphy went above and beyond to help resolve all my issues thank you very much Murphy your are a credit to Barclays and credit to yourself very helpful very pleasant thank you again Murphy keep up the good work your a star

Always slow service despite being very quiet. Takes 30 minutes to deposit money for the business banking counter. Get a monzo or starling account. Avoid Barclays unless you?ve loads of time to waste

How banks like this are still going is beyond me. Need a service which isn't available on line, call them to be told I have to visit a branch for counter service. I work M-F and counter service is not available on Saturdays. Closest branch is an 80 mile round trip so I need to book a morning off work and pay for fuel and parking. For contrast, the exact same service with Monzo, raise a request from the app, done the next day. It's 2023 not 1923 ffs.

Been a Barclays customer for over 30 years but I must say the service is rapidly going down hill, especially the Aberdeen branch. Went in today to transfer money from one of my accounts to another, which was over the machines capacity so needed to wait for counter staff to deal with transaction. Was horrified when I was told it would be at least 30mins to be seen! Where were the staff? Why can't you transaction transfers between own accounts? Pull up your socks Barclays, and before you ask....NO I won't do online banking.
