Lovely spot for a coffee break and toastie with a nice garden to sit out in on a sunny day. Just a little on the expensive side and not the biggest selection, but staff were friendly and helpful.

Brusquely told only toasties available on the entire menu (no apology, no niceties). Very tasty but not what we were wanting really. The coffee was excellent. I overheard a couple querying their coffee as they had requested oat milk but got dairy. The same brusque server basically told them she gave them what they ordered- it took another member of staff to confirm that the customer was correct and the shop had served it incorrectly. Maybe train the lady on the till to to have customer service skills or take her away from customers!

Stopped in for a hot chocolate in between site inspections in Uppingham. Very nice atmosphere, good service and a lovely hot chocolate. Would recommend for hot drinks and a cake/pastry.

Best coffee Uppingham. Just a shame there is nothing healthy on the menu, and the gate down to the cellar constantly being opened is like nails on a chalk board, WD40 needed!

Gosh not very impressed. Sorry. Mid-day Saturday. Sun shining. They were not at all busy but our one sandwich and some toast took ages. Others who came in after the were served as we waited.
Menu tiny , choice of cakes very small and certainly not cheap. Did I miss something?

AppallingWas going to write this review three weeks ago but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Wish I didn't and stuck by what I said the last time I was in. Never again.Been a customer for over 6 years but the service I have received recently is piss poor. Beginning to take it personally as I'm not your usually Rutland type of customer. Coffee and cake, the staple diet of a day out. Get the cold cake to take to your table, wait 10 mins for your drinks by which time the cake is eaten. Then wait a further 17 mins for the warm banana bread to arrive whilst watching the customers who arrived after you tuck into their warm toasted sandwiches. As I said, this isn't a one off. But the icing on the cake is being served a cold beverage in a plastic container with a plastic lid. My daughter isn't 4, she can handle a proper glass, she's 21.Dam shame.
