I am an upholsterer and lampshade maker with a keen eye for detail and quality made items. I trained with Sarah Wood of Mode Upholstery School after seeing the amount of furniture that is thrown away rather than reused. Coupled with a love of interior design, colour and fabrics it was a match made in heaven for me. I do both modern and traditional upholstery and love nothing more than giving a loved chair or sofa new lease of life and turning it into a unique designer statement piece. With traditional upholstery I love how you can get lost in all the hand stitching when building the foundations for the seat with coir (coconut hair). Not to say that modern pieces are any less fun to work on!
