Perfectly cooked pub grub (delicious pies with lovely shortcrust pastry, veg cooked to perfection and loads of gravy) along with a beautifully kept pint of landlord and friendly service.

A great place for a drink and a very good meal. Very friendly people who run it with a really friendly atmosphere also dog friendly. Good selection of beers and a very well kept pint. Can heartily recommend the chicken,ham and leek pie. It was very, very tasty, one of the best I have ever had. We are definitely going back in this year when we go back to Rutland.

Food was pretty good. I had the chicken and chips which was OK and my partner had the vegan wellington which was very good.
Vegan options were limited (no starter or pudding and only one main) but was very tasty and well done.
Staff were very friendly and great service.
We stayed for the Thursday night pub quiz which was very good.

What a fantastic night. Had a great meal in restaurant, food was amazing and partner gluten free was not a problem. Food fantastic and service brilliant. Stayed on to watch the singer he was amazing, never had so much fun for ages. Great atmosphere everyone got involved. Thank you to this wonderful pub for a great night. We been here a few times and will be back. This is a pub not to miss. Food is the best. Thank you to you all. Annette &Steve.

Used this pub alot during the caravan season, over 15 years now, always a good atmosphere, very dog friendly, locals are always happy to chat, staff always helpful. Food great.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Sunday lunch was amazing and so delicious. All cooked from scratch. Service was excellent and s warm welcome was given to everyone. Husband over the moon as they had mild on too!! Well worth a visit!! Family and dog friendly.

Staying at the campsite and discovered a gem. Walked into a great atmosphere and fantastic food. We had the recommended pies and they are fantastic! Will definitely return if we are back in the area.
