Haven't eaten here for a while so I don't know if it's still the same chef, but last time I did the food was good! It's really nice quaint little countryside pub, nice friendly staff and good beer! Well worth a visit!

In unfortunate circumstances when our car broke down 160 miles away from home on a Sunday evening, we found ourselves at the friendliest place we could have possibly wished for! We were looked after with generous hospitality and genuine care and are very grateful to the caring landlady, staff and guests we met. Food we were offered (even though the kitchen was closed) was delicious! We highly recommend and hope to visit this charming place again.

Didn?t stop for food although the venue has an excellent reputation, Even though weekday lunchtime visit, warm welcome into what I?d call a comfy pub. Excellent range of beers lagers and ciders. I tried a pint of the hoppyWhite Rat which was exceptional. Going to pop back for some grub soon?.

Best Sunday lunch and tomahawk steaks you'll find!Sue and Will are always so welcoming. Cosy fires in winter, cool in summer. A great place all year round.

We visited whilst travelling home from Gatwick Airport. Only 5 minutes off the A1, welcoming hosts, friendly atmosphete, and excellent food available. Great choice of beers on tap, but sadly, driving duties put paid to the need for any decision making. I highly recommend a visit, and I can hardly wait until the next time I pass, so I can make another visit.
