I would have rated it 5, but the noise level in the bar was very high. Difficult to order drinks. Otherwise excellent. Good food and service.

Fabulous lunch today celebrating a birthday with friends. Traditional country pub with both food and service of a very high standard. Steak & Ale pie was agreed to be the best ever sampled and ginger steam pudding was a winner with the lads. No hesitation in recommending.

Lovely pub in a beautiful village. Staff very friendly and polite. Standard pub fare but well made and generous portions. Service was quick although we did eat early before the pub became busy later.
