Just went to the restaurant and it was delicious! Nice garden area, great service and food was very very delicious. We got the pork loin dish, steak and chocolate brownies for dessert. I will be back if I?m in the area ?
Pork loin was so well cooked and super flavorful, paired very well with the sauce it came with. All the dishes were also presented very beautifully

We stayed in their rooms, which were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was tasty. Services seemed a bit disorganised, but friendly. Excellent location in the middle of Woodstock.

Stayed here for work with a colleague. In the morning we both met and had zero sleep for the same reasons - cheapest pillows money can buy. Insultingly cheap. Was so tired the next day I had to get extra rest.
To top it off breakfast was unavailable in the morning due to some unforeseen kitchen disaster.
I stay about 200 nights a year in hotels and will not be back at this one.

No remote for tv went to bar to ask but no one came with one , on top of hanging storage for clothes absolutely thick of dust wasn?t worth £180 one night very poor

Food was pretty good BUT 12% 'service charge' added without any notice i.e. not stated on menus.
Service wasn't worth the 12% - had to ask for serviettes and salt and pepper.
No wonder pubs are closing when 12% on top of relatively high prices is added without notice.
NOTE : we are not the Yanks who pay low wages and rely on so called tips.
tips are OPTIONAL.

Absolutely awful. Most of the meal was entirely inedible. Lamb completely burnt on outside and raw in middle. Roast beef wasn?t possible to cut with a steak knife. Roast chicken raw in the middle. Just dreadful. Waitress was kind enough to remove the meals from bill. Avoid.

Nice little pub in Woodstock, located in the middle of the village and quiet part.
We had a nice room on the top floor, very quiet and clean.

We stayed here, last weekend. The only criticism, no parking. Had to move the car, every morning and evening.
Pub itself, lovely. We were originally put in the loft room. Moved us, to a lovely room, no problem. Staff are lovely, especially, Daisy and the young man, working with her. The food, was amazing. Too much, if anything.
Lovely walk, just down the road, to Blenheim Palace.
Would thoroughly recommend this pub.

Friday night dinner really poor food, 2 chicken ceasar ordered looked ok when bought to the table but the chicken was fried and so greasy.
Dover sole ordered, the whole plate was swimming in butter and oil,
Just a light drizzle over the top was required
All the food was so greasy, also samphire is spelt with an M not Saphire like on the specials board.
Pub was dirty as well needs a big clean.

This place has had a difficult history. Different owners. Closed for some time. The quality of service and standard of food has varied wildly over the years. But we thought we'd give it another chance.
It was a poor choice. The standard of the food cannot justify the prices. And seeing a rat run from their food storage 'shed' across the front of the kitchen wasn't ideal either. Although the waitress reassured us it was probably just because there was rubbish that hadn't been picked up... Great! ?
