A cosy jewel just outside of Woodstock in the adorable village of Wootton. The culinary experience is second to none and the friendly and expert staff makes this a place that you'll want to visit time and time again.

Great gastro pub with an excellent value for money. Care and attention in the preparation of the dishes, and seasonal local products in the menu. Good wine selection. Find this on the Michelin guide and well worth the tour.

Myself and wife have eaten previously at the Killingworth a few years back and it was stunning then. This visit was even better! To start the service was brilliant by all staff, although the young waitress which looked after us most of the time, outstanding. She was polite, knowledgeable and most of all very friendly giving time to talk about the food etc. Now the food, where to begin.. all beautiful! The starters where well presented and tasted even better, my wife?s lobster starter was the best lobster she had ever had. The mains did not disappoint either and my salt aged duck was something else, credit to the chefs. Myself and partner have eaten at various Michelin star restaurants including a 3* and it?s safe to say this place deserves one! We can?t wait to come back again

One of the nicest Sunday lunches I?ve had in a long time! We had a lovely, cosy, late Sunday lunch here mid December (before heading to Blenheim Palace for the Christmas lights trail). Friendly warm service, and the food quality and cooking was excellent. The best roast potatoes I?ve had in years. Not the cheapest- but you absolutely get what you pay for!

We stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast. Exquisite, relaxed and uber comfortable, attentive experience. Food was superb. Lovely touches including complimentary soft drinks for non drinkers to a brilliant list of mocktails. Staff low key and couldn?t be more helpful. Highest recommendation for our first ever visit to the Cotswolds. We?ll be back in the summer. A diamond of a find!

We were lucky enough to enjoy a superb lunch at The Killingworth - from the warm welcome on arrival (don?t forget to validate your parking!) guided through the cosy yet stylish bar and restaurant. The interior is beautiful and seating very comfortable with wonderful touches and immaculate decor. The menu caters for all, my partner was vegetarian and found many delicious options. The wine list was carefully curated and we were given considered suggestions to pair with my meal choices. The house white by the glass was light and crisp. Plenty of soft drinks options for drivers too. We were offered their tasty signature treacle soda bread with cultured butter and took restraint to hold back to make room for the chicken liver parfait with plum chutney served with a perfect little brioche loaf. The parfait was light, fresh and better than any I?ve tasted. The chutney was the perfect accompaniment. My partner had the colourful Jerusalem artichoke with orange and candied pine kernels which looked like a work of art and tasted even better. I chose pork belly and cheek served on mash potato with an apple and cider sauce. The pork was so tender and melted in my mouth and the mash was light-so tasty. My partner enjoyed her braised fennel with black garlic and cavolo nero with turnip broth, we chose a side of winter spiced cabbage and new potatoes. The presentation of all of our dishes was exceptional and the portion sizes generous without being overwhelming. We struggled to find room for pudding but my fig and almond tart with milk ice cream was a taste sensation. My partner?s mandarin and vanilla cheesecake with carrot and mandarin sorbet was a colourful flourish and we didn?t want the meal to end! The service throughout was exceptional, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The owners have worked hard to create such a special place and deserve every single one of the 3 AA Rosettes and accolades they have accrued since they took over this beautiful gem. Accommodation is also available and I would thoroughly recommend The Killy for a very memorable and delicious dining experience. Well done team!

Superb food, Michelin star level. I would definitely recommend it even for the food. Staff is friendly. Good atmosphere. Carpark is for 3 hours, you need to register when you check in.

Exceptional experience at this lovely Inn a few weeks back. It was a very rare evening away from the kids so I wanted to pick somewhere nice. I couldn't have happier with our choice. The pub is cosy with a lit fire, the service from everyone we came into contact with was attentive and friendly, but the food was the star of the show. I had a delicious parfait with home made brioche followed by the venison. My only complaint was that I was too full for pudding. Can't wait to go back and try the Sunday roast.

Not been to The Killy for a while and been following the many updates on their FB page, keen to go back and try the food again. Eventually got around to it and I'm very glad we did. Stopped off yesterday for lunch and the place has changed a lot, and in a good way. It was very busy but the service was swift, attentive, welcoming, friendly and professional. We order 2 x beef sirloin roast dinners with extras of cabbage and bacon and cauliflower cheese. Quite honestly we couldn't have eaten another thing and although the starters looked very appetising I'm glad we didn't indulge. Sad pedant that I am, I have a top 5 list of local (to me) places for Sunday lunch and this place goes immediately into the top three, along with The Chequers at Churchill and The White Horse Kings Sutton. Will be back to The Killy as soon as possible and looking forward to when the sun eventually comes out to pop over for lunch outside!

Perfection! Visited for the first time last night and wife and I had the vegetarian tasting menu. Each course had been carefully thought through with exceptional ingredients, it was faultless. The staff from the bar through to the restaurant were fantastic, it is rare to see such professionalism. Thank you to all the staff for making our night out so great, we will be back as soon as we can get another bay sitter!!!!!!

Beautiful dining room but food very disappointing. Appealing menu but not well executed. Lukewarm main courses brought out at different times. Tough meat and fish overpowered by too much vinegar. Good desserts.

Obsequious service and my food was unpleasant. Overpowering vinegar flavour of my main dish ruined the taste of the wine! Our friends commented their food wasn?t hot. Slow to bring starters, mains brought out at different times. On a positive note my desert was excellent. All servings were tiny!
