What a great experience at this pub early on a Saturday night. Three generations of the family all really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. The food variety on the menu was great - and three vegetarians all chose different things. The food and portion size was great and we didn't begrudge these now standard meal prices. The staff were so kind, thoughtful, helpful and understanding and really made it a nice evening for us. The other visitors at the pub were also very friendly!

Had a lovely Thai green curry with chips as a side, you definitely don?t need a side as the portions are large. Great service and a great pint of Guinness to go with my meal.

Lovely pub with amazing sunday roast!! I was surprise at how quiet it was but overall loved the atmosphere and the food was great! The staff were all very friendly and had a great rest!

I had prawns & mussels linguine & it was quite tasty. Outside dining is nicely set. On the next night, I had pan-fried cod over a bed of au gratin potatoes- sounds basic but this was an outstanding dish- tasteful, tender, and well presented. I?d order that again!

Had Sunday lunch here recently as part of a birthday group. Really lovely pub with friendly and efficient staff. Nothing is too much trouble! One of mine wanted mash and they said ?no problem? even though it wasn?t on the roast menu. Would highly recommend as they offer other options to a roast on Sunday which is perfect for us. Lovely atmosphere there too.

A great pub, with great food most of the week. It is a large 'city' pub in a large village. - no car park and on street parking limited by location. Bus stop very close though!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The lady in charge couldn?t do enough to help. The girls working there were very polite (although did feel they were new and a little unsure of themselves) but overall we would go back. Thankyou

Really good place for Sunday lunch, Yorkshire pudding was slightly overdone which broke my heart as that's my favourite. 4 spuds is a bit sad too and I'm not sure what you did to the red cabbage but I wasn't a fan. Other than that it was great. Loved the atmosphere and the staff were lovely!

i am mortified. i was stranded in this area after a horrific incident happened to me. i ran to this pub for safety. i was very shaken up and ran to the toilet to sort myself out. as i went to talk out as my uber had arrived an old woman behind the counter (24/08/24) at around 1pm shouted at me ?EXCUSE ME, SAY THANK YOU? in a very harsh and degrading way. i have currently got tonsillitis and it is very painful when i talk but upon exit i smiled at her and this is what i got in response??? this added to the trauma i just experienced. you never know what someone is going through. i WILL be taking this further. i am disgusted.

A pleasant enough pub. Friendly barstaff. Didn't have any food, but the selection of beer was good and the ale I had was in good condition. Pleasant outside drinking area as well.
