A hidden gem! A lovely, traditional, country pub. The food is astonishingly good. The fish and chips is the best that I've had anywhere (special mention for the triple-cooked chips).

Absolutely incredible experience - food, staff and atmosphere were all top notch. We will be back to try all the things on the menu, as all we ordered was a cut above other pubs.

I have lived in the area my whole life and never had a pub meal near us that was as good as this. Every dish was extremely good and reasonably priced. The beef pie special was a particular highlight. Best pub pie I?ve ever had. Please keep these guys in business! Go eat here.

Went for lunch Sunday March 22. De welcome was unfriendly. Asked for the round table but was told is for 6 however we were given 2 tables put together enough for 8. A prawn cocktail was ordered the prawns were frozen and too fast defrosted making them soggie and soft.
The potatoes were burned and the burger was tasteless. Then we were asked to leave as they had sold the table of which they did not notify us giving us hardly a chance to finish our 3rd bottle of wine. The roast were soo steak was on the menue but they could only serve one
Our booking was 12.30 and we were on time.
The young waitress was kind and did her best
The lady of the house was abrupt and unfriendly
Never ever again place can only recommend to avoid

Had Saturday lunch, the team are super friendly and welcomed us and the dogs warmly. The menu is very promising and absolutely delivers on that promise. Everything we had was excellent, cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. We'll definitely be back!

This is a small pub in the country village of Berwick Salome and it is easy to find as it is on the main road. The car park is just passed the pub if you are coming from Wallington.
It has recently been taken over and on entering it clearly has a very warm as in friendly atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming and professional.
They offer a good range of drinks, with some excellent bitters;Hoppit and Rebellion IPA were available for our visit. The menu has a good range and our waitress was very helpful when we were making our choices. Our food was beautifully prepared and presented and extremely tasty. Portions for me were the perfect size. My choice, the chicken with Dophinoise potatoes, was first class.
The range of sweets available is really good, and all in all we had an excellent dining experience.
Attention to detail is excellent, including when my partner left her scarf behind. Within two minutes of leaving the red line we had a telephone call to let us know that she had left it there so we were able to go straight back saving us an extra journey the following day.
Highly recommended!
