Sadly my last review 3.5 years was VERY different to yesterday's trip.
The menu is roughly the same, I the prices are average++ now.
However the reason I've removed the last review. In the past the food was amazing and was really a nice surprise!
Yesterday's food was pretty lame, the steaks were awful - out of my mega mixed grill we wrapped up 3 sausages, 1 piece of chicken, 1 steak and half the gammon for the dogs.
The steak was cooked medium rare as requested but it seemed to be cooked that way with a hair dryer. There was no sign it had been near a grill somehow it seemed to be almost grey. The gammon was dry. tlThe meal had heard rumours about seasoning but sadly wasn't able to experience it.
And yet again! On a table of 7 one meal was totally missed out and the option were for them to watch everyone else eat or everyone else to have a cold meal if they'd waited the 18mins it took for their pizza to get out to the table. I say yet again as this is the THIRD time in a row this has happened.
Plus side the staff were all lovely. But don't think we'll bother trying again.

Really friendly staff, going out of their way every time they came to see us. Food was superb and quick, there was no pressure at any time and will be recommending this to people I know and work with

Everything was good from start to finish. There was a bit of a wait but I was informed when we arrived that there was a slight delay being it was Mother's Day. Everything ordered was piping hot and there were no complaints at all from any of my 8 companions. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food and lots of choice. Service was excellent and staff all very friendly and accommodating. Lovely pub and we will be back!

Mediocre food for a premium price!
The £16 8oz Rump was flavourless and dryer than the Sahara. Wouldn't even feed it to my dog.
Can't say I'll be going back anytime soon.

First time eating at The College Farm. It was very busy but very well handled. Was told 25minutes wait for food, was happy to wait. Staff was apologetic for the busy period. Kept us informed that it was on its way.
Customer care didn't go unnoticed.
Food was good and very reasonably priced. Well done team. 15/07/250

Disappointing Visit ? Poor Service, Overpriced Drinks, and Questionable Food
Unfortunately, our experience here left a lot to be desired. We had to wait over an hour for our food, with no communication or apology from the staff. When we asked the waitress for some hand gel after a small accident involving our dog, she looked half-asleep and barely responded ? not exactly reassuring.
On top of that, we were charged £7 for a pint of Neck Oil, which is ridiculously overpriced. The outside table we were given was sticky and clearly hadn?t been cleaned properly, which only added to the general lack of care and attention.
As for the food, the pie seemed suspiciously like a heated-up Higgidy pie ? not what you'd expect when paying pub prices for a ?homemade? meal.
All in all, not somewhere we?ll be rushing back to.
